Je vous recommande cet hôtel situé environ 10 minutes à pied du centre-ville Les chambres sont confortables et propres avec un foyer électrique et bain en coin .Le petit restaurant à étage est très bien et la dame qui nous a servi au déjeuner est très gentille .parfait pour un week-end à deux

Had a late flight and still was able to get situated without missing a beat. Front desk was available so I could access my room. Hot tub worked great and was a relief after long travel day. Easy walk to George St for restaurants but away from noise. Had a lightning storm on my last night, but felt safe and was able to get my 7:15 AM flight out.

Such a beautiful tranquil location. Quiet and a perfect space for inner healing. 20 minute walk to downtown where you can stroll through the neighborhood and down onto the main streets. It was such a fun trip and the perfect hotel for my stay! The staff here are exceptional and caring. I felt they went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. I will be back to treasure more memories! Also my room was massive and that was certainly unexpected, bed was comfy and the jacuzzi tub is what dreams are made of. Plus, I'm looking forward to researching this fascinating heritage building more in my spare time.

This was one of many great finds during my week-long visit to Newfoundland. The day I arrived, I was so thrilled to have found this gem on an inn. The check-in experience was pleasant, and I warmly greeted by the front desk staff who empathized with the fact that my suitcase ended up on a later flight than the one I had taken. The in-room jacuzzi was also phenomenal, as was the incredibly comfortable king-sized bed. The hotel had been beautifully renovated and is so incredibly peaceful throughout. While the free breakfast options were astonishingly limited, the dining area where meals were served was also very pleasant and welcoming. When I returned to St. John's later in the week, I decided I'd try the JAG hotel -- which had also been well-reviewed, just to have a different experience. Without going into all the details, let me just say I deeply regretted not returning to the Monastery Hotel, and its serene oasis-like ambience. Next time I visit Newfoundland, I know exactly where I'll be staying, and it's right here.

Quiet, large rooms with great, giant king bed. Jacuzzi right beside the bedside worked great before sleep. Wonderful, helpful staff. A short 10 min walk from the downtown eateries; beware there are very few shops, it is not like a typical NA capital downtown. Free breakfast was FANTASTIC tasting, with outdoor or indoor seating available. Just an amazing stay. The scent of rosemary greeted you upon entry. Incredible.

Overall a decent stay. Rooms clean, and decent amenities. Concierge was pleasant and knowledgeable. They were strict on check in time at 15:00 and not earlier, which was disappointing but at least able to hold our luggage in storage. Strongly recommend not using Jiffy Cab as a referral service as the cab company was HORRIBLE! Location is a tiny bit from downtown but we found that to be ok as quiet and gave opportunity for a walk. Value is fair.

Short break with the wife- great location- booked a superior room which was excellent . However, there was one massive negative and that was the breakfast on offer - really poor selection - milk was curdled - lack of variety of food - had to ask for refill of food -
Have looked at some positive reviews of the breakfast and am shocked because this was not our experience at all and speaking to other guests they were in agreement. We ended up going to another hotel up the street for breakfast each morning
One other slight gripe is the lack of interaction from hotel staff . Me and the wife have travelled widely across the world and experienced at least 500 hotels over the years and although the staff were not rude they clearly gave off a nonchalant and uninterested vibe - we are the customers and they should at least acknowledge that.

Although a nice hotel will not recommend
