The environment is always so nice at Highlands. The staff are so pleasant and you can feel the family vibe when you’re around the course. Being able to bring my dog to this course the last two years has been so amazing too. Such a great place to train him and let him run free. I don’t really know anyone to golf with around here but have always found some great guys willing to let me join their groups. It’s a shorter course with great greens and I’ve certainly made it my second home. Always looking forward to my next round. Probably some of the best sunsets around too.

Had a great day at Muskoka Highland Golf this past Saturday. Location is fantastic and a real fun layout. Well kept and a very friendly and helpful staff. Would go again for sure. Just beautiful.

A great little 18 hole course in Bracebridge. Challenging but still manageable as a beginner golfer. I loved that every hole was named after a guide dog that the owners had fostered!! A great dog friendly course!

My favourite course to golf! I love the open fields, the breezes and wild flowers. The greens and fairways are in excellent shape given how hot and dry it has been. The staff are courteous and accommodating. Take your puppers if you like and golf 9, 12, or 18.

We love being able to take our dogs out on the golf course while we play. They get a great walk, we get to golf, what could be better! The course is in very good shape, reasonable price, good food too!

Muskoka is known for its expensive, high end golf courses. I recently played 3 of its mid tier options; Muskoka Highlands, North Granite Ridge and Lake St George. They are all good value and kept in very good condition. Of the 3 courses, Muskoka Highlands had the best conditioned tee boxes and sand traps. The greens putted well and were of moderate speed. It is a fun course, offering a lot of open vistas of the surrounding countryside. Many holes are lined with thick fescue, but the fairways are generous enough so that staying out of fescue is usually not a big problem. The grass on a few of the fairways was a bit spotty. The course is par 69 and under 6000 yds from the back tees. If you play from the suggested tee blocks, based on your driving distance, you will have an enjoyable round.
Kudos to the management for making golf more accessible. On my recent round I saw two golfers out with well behaved dogs and a father out with his toddler in a stroller modified to also carry golf clubs.

Top notch! Great for beginners and veterans alike. The purple beginner tees are a perfect distance for my 11 year old daughter who is starting to take up the game. The wonderful course layout and conditions are great for seasoned players as well, and the state of the art carts with GPS and display provide an added bonus. Very hospitable and dog friendly team.
