What a cool little piece of old time European charm - reasonable price, parking right out front, huge portions, super tasty. I don't know if I'll ever be in Smith Falls again but I'll stop here again if I am.
Loved the schnitzel, the dressing, Weiner, and potatoes.

Wouldn't change a thing!
A small restaurant with lots of character. Everything that we ordered exceeded our expectations, with large portions and extremely fair pricing. The Madras soup tasted amazing, every plate of food that passed our table looked incredible & ours was no exception.
Its nice to see that a small family run restaurant like this can still exist in 2024. I cant recall the last time I enjoyed a restaurant meal like this without travelling abroad to get it.

The order was expensive because we ordered 3 gypsy platters and 4 desserts. So the price wasn't a problem.

I love Eastern European food with all my heart (food wise) my family is Hungarian I'm first gen Canadian. Tried the gypsy platter the schnitzel was great and so was the sausage, the rest made no sense. Schnitzel doesn't come with tartar sauce and a lemon, the potato dumpling is not a side served with schnitzel none of the sides they have really are. Sauerkraut was pretty good. Apple strudel was a flop, because the lady who took my order said we have freshly baked strudel and then gave me a piece made earlier from the fridge. I've heard a lot of hype about this place and maybe got myself too pumped up. Not too sure I'll eat there again.

This restaurant is a true gem. Absolutely unpretentious, brilliantly done Czech comfort food at the price of some salads that I've had in restaurants I've enjoyed infinitely less than this one. The service is friendly, efficient and professional.

This is comfort food in something along the lines of a treasured diner environment. I always get what I refer to as the "Half Acre of Schnitzel". You hear the hammer (I refer to it as being "The Hammer of Happiness) pounding the cutlet in the open kitchen. It arrives too hot to dig into without waiting at least a couple of moments. The great family team that delivers it is a joy to be around.

I live thousands of kilometers away but make a point of traveling there on a regular basis because of the food and the experience.

I've traveled extensively, for decades, through every province and territory in the country and around the world. On any given evening, if I'm thinking of where I'd really like to go, there's pretty much a 100% chance that My Place will enter my thoughts, regardless of how far away I may be.

This restaurant is a gem. The food and attention is incredibly good, and be prepared to eat a lot because here, excellent quality goes together with really generous, if not huge portions. When you come you should also try the madras soup, a creamy & sweety curry-flavoured delight. And you must not go without trying home made desert (we tried apple strudel and cherry cheesecake, delicately served and really yummy). A not-to-miss place.
