I’m unintentionally in town for a few days due to a vehicular breakdown, and wandered down to Nightjar for a few cocktails and some interesting snacks.

What a lovely little spot in a snowy town!

I even had mushrooms on sourdough toast and it was absolutely delicious. The steamed buns are amazing as well. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through.

Absolutely delicious. Stopped in on our way through town and we were very impressed by what Swift Current had to offer with this upscale diner with Asian influence. Chicken and waffles was unbelievable and too much for me to finish.

This place is confusing. You have this bizarre dinner/ old bakery/ fancy contemporary setting. It's nice and clean but odd. Which only adds to what I'm about to say next. The "fine dinning" experience might be "fine" for swift current. But it is overly pretentious and trying too hard to be something it's not. Right down to the thrift store finds China they serve you on. Never in my life did I expect to see Melba toast.... let me repeat that for the folks in the back. MELBA TOAST. As an appetizer.... for $11. The flatest, blandest, most unpickled pickles. Cheese. And Melba toast. For $42 per person..... 6 thumb nail sized potatoes a half a handful of beans and carrots and a very scantily sized steak. The steak did have good flavor which was the only saving grace. Topped off with the world's saddest $6 literal two bite cannoli with half a teaspoon of cream in it that had the texture of being 3 days old. For $163 you shouldn't have to go to original Joe's for nachos because you're still hungry. The cocktails were good. At least they know how to make a decent old fashioned I suppose.

We went to Nightjar for the first time last month after numerous recommendations and let me tell you it did not disappoint! When you walk in you're greeted with a welcoming and open space that is tastefully decorated. The menu is a great selection of eclectic favorites elevated in unique ways. The Tom "Yam" Soup and Bao Buns are to die for! The owner Derek also came out to make sure we were well taken care of. Can't say enough good things about this place. We will definitely be going again soon. 5/5, highly recommended!!!

Amazing food! We always eat here when coming to town! Love they use tallow to fry everything! 12/10 recommend! Korean fried chicken sando is the best!
