Absolute gem in Brantford! Overall incredible restaurant. Love the atmosphere here. Greeted almost immediately after walking in, sat down at the bar for a drink while they prepared our table (awesome bartender), sat for dinner and both appetizer and mains were cooked to perfection. Started with crispy pork belly and bread & butter. I had the beef tenderloin and my husband had the spicy pork chops and we shared puffed potatoes. Menus for drinks and food are small but still awesome selection. We will definitely be back. Our only downside was from the time we ordered to getting our apps was almost an hour…however worth the wait.

We recently had an early dinner here and were impressed by the fantastic service from the staff, who paid great attention to detail. We ordered several small plates and wine, and the ambience was exceptional, great to see the new renovations. Although it had been a while since our last visit, we were delighted to return and enjoy a meal. We will definitely be back soon, and I'm eager to try the puffed potatoes.

Absolutely delicious food and wonderful service, what an experience! The puffed potatoes were 10/10, oysters were fresh and beautifully prepared; however, my favourite part of the meal was the tiger shrimp— seasoned and grilled to perfection 🫶🏼. Thank you, will definitely be back soon.

My friends and I had an absolutely amazing meal at On The Lam this past Thursday. We threw a birthday party (25+ people). The service was stellar, every drink I had was delicious and beautifully presented (White Linen, Espresso Martini).

At my table we tried the Oysters (beautifully shucked and the cucumber mignonette was top), Baby Arugula salad (super refreshing), Potato Puffs (what dreams are made of), Fried Chicken (juicy and saucy), The charred peppers (perfect snack). As my main I ordered the 15oz Crusted Pork Chop (It was so good and HUGE that I felt obligated to share it)

Overall, wonderful experience and I will definitely be back and recommending it to friends. Short drive from Hamilton and definitely worth it for the price, service and food quality.

On the Lam is such a great place to have dinner. The vibes are 10/10 every single time. The waygu steak literally melts in your mouth & is totally worth the higher price point. If you’re looking for a super cozy intimate dinner date this is definitely the place to be. So much better than the keg. Love that it is local and they use locally sourced foods. The menu changes based on the season and what is available locally. The steak is cooked perfect every single time. The puffed potatoes are to die for. You won’t regret those.

We started off with a whack of oysters and scallop ceviche.
Beet risotto, Puffed potatoes.
With the main entree of salmon + the grilled shrimp. My other friend had the duck which I sampled and it was absolutely amazing. Bravo!!!

RSV for 7:30, my husband and I ordered our entrees shortly after arrival and our meal came to the table shortly after 9pm.

The wait was ridiculous and the waitress wasn’t too friendly.

The appetizer was a hit and miss. Fry chicken was amazing BUTTTT the Ceaser (sauce on the side no bacon) was trashed. I told the waitress that the lettuce didn’t even taste washed, we she brushed off and ensured that it was cleaned.

My husband food was well prepared (beef cheeks), my food on the other hand came out cold!!! This was very upsetting considering the wait. It was also served in a smaller plate (which I asked for a dinner plate.

I send my food back as I refused to eat it cold. It was heated in the microwave and my steak went from medium to medium well.

I will NOT RETURN!! Please do better!
