I have been going to Palace Submarine for over twenty years. In that time, the staff has changed, the décor has changed, and I even wager a guess that the ownership has changed. But one thing that has stayed exactly the same is their bacon double cheeseburger with onion rings.

The portions are huge. The burger is more than enough for one person, maybe even enough for two. And the onion rings—I only had a small, but from many places, it would have been a large. The bun is fresh, the burgers are cooked perfectly, and the ingredients all come together to provide that unique combination that makes a Palace Sub bacon double cheeseburger just right. I recommend you get it with everything.

The burger is messy, so you're going to want to have napkins. But I can guarantee it's exactly what the doctor ordered. That's if doctors prescribed bacon double cheeseburgers—and they don't. But maybe they should. One thing that I love about Palace Submarine is their consistency. How could I have been going to this restaurant for over twenty years and the burger has remained exactly the same? They always make it perfect. If you're in the area and you're craving one, I highly recommend you stop in. It's exactly as ordered.

I have ordered from the palace many of times as I have been a repeated customer for over 2 years but since I've missed one order they are trying to make me pay for the lost fee and so I tried squaring up with them and bring reasonable as I tried paying atleast half even tho you don't have to in most cases they won't accept a cash payment and making it an issue about me not sending an E-transfer to pay the last orders fee. I will not be ordering from them again!

I have eaten here twice, the food was great! Fresh and large portions! Get a super sub and you will not be disappointed! The two men working there were very friendly and took great care making my sandwich super delicious. Forgot the other sub places… If you want a proper sandwich you need to go here.

First time experience. Walked in, worker had exposed heads of lettuce on the dirty deep freezer. Also I even been to a sub place, who can’t make a proper assorted sandwich . How does a sub place cut a slice of meat in half and that’s acceptable. CHEAP. Highly wouldn’t recommend if you want an assorted sandwich. Everything else might be awesome. Not this sub

Tonight was my first time ordering since the new owners have taken over and I am very impressed with their food I’d have to say their regular poutine with shredded cheese is the best poutine I’ve had in a long time the cheese and the gravy goes all the way to the bottom it’s worth buying it now they have a couple different poutine’s, but as I said the regular poutine with shredded cheese also, there are cheeseballs you get such a large amount I could not even finish them all there had been at least 30 cheeseballs there. Great job Palace sub I will be returning.

Food is better than when new owners took Ober, service and delivery is fast, still keeps the old school diner vibe from the early to late 90s and 80s

Employee didn't even use gloves or wash his hands in preparing my sub. Ask him to add banana peppers but he didn't bother to listen to my request. I love to support local businesses but this is one I won't be supporting after tonight.
