We came for breakfast as part of our stay at the hotel. The eggs benny was great and the hash brown potatoes super tasty. My partner ordered the steak and eggs which he said was a bit chewy and a 5/10. Service here was great! Overall a decent breakfast if you're staying in the hotel but not sure I would go out of my way to eat here otherwise as they didn't have a super extensive menu.

Hands down the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried them all. I cannot express how truly happy we were with not only the incredible (and I mean, incredible) food, but the service was also amazing. Very attentive, personable and kind. The layout is nice and easy to navigate. You can tell the chef really cares about the quality of his dishes here. We will be coming back again.

We stayed at the hotel so we tried the rooftop and the restaurant.

The rooftop patio has great views, service was excellent too. The appy menu was over priced for sure. Especially the 3 scallops.

The restaurant had decent service but the breakfast cooking needs serious work. Overcooked chicken and crumbling/dry waffles and burned on one side eggs, cold bacon and burned sourdough. The coffee was good though.

My husband and I went out for dinner recently. I ordered the fish and chips, which, unfortunately, were quite bland and lacked any real flavor. My husband had the fettuccine, which was tasty but served in a rather small portion. For the price point, we expected both better flavour and more generous servings.

That said, the service was lovely. Our server Rose, I believe was very kind, attentive, and sweet. We’ll be sure to ask for her again the next time we visit. The atmosphere was warm and pleasant, though we were surprised by how quiet the restaurant was during our visit.

Overall, it was a nice evening, but the food could definitely use some improvement in both flavour and portion size.

We've visited this restaurant twice in the last 3 weeks to enjoy their Eggs Benedict perfection. With their Bottomless Benny Saturdays, we tried all 6 options and all were great. The staff and management is very friendly and their Chef(s) are very talented, producing the most flavorful and visually appealing dishes. For your first time, I fully recommend trying all the Benny options on a Saturday morning as it's well worth the trip... and the amazing promotion price is unmatched!

I was in Penticton for a couple of days on my way home from a trip to Edmonton. I reached out to my niece to meet for dinner while I was in town and she recommended Palmer. I happened to be staying next door at the Hotel Penticton so this was super convenient.

Their menu has a good variety without being overwhelming. There’s bound to be something to appeal to everyone. My niece ordered the Miso Glazed Salmon and I had the Chicken Presse. Both meals were very tasty and decent portions.

Our server was very attentive and when I mentioned that my Guinness was quite flat, she brought me a different drink and even comp’d the drink as well as remove the stale drink.

After our meal, our server listed off some dessert options and we selected their Turtle Cheesecake which is both gluten free and dairy free (my niece has dietary restrictions) and it was surprisingly tasty. The coconut whip “cream” was a nice touch.

I will be trying Palmer for breakfast before I leave and see if a steakhouse is capable of doing breakfast.

The atmosphere is nice, they obviously put some thought into it. The biggest concern was the quality of the food. The eggs were just not good. With enough salt, you can get them down but we did not enjoy them. My daughter had the pancakes and barely touched them, again they just didn’t taste good. Service was decent for the most part, however I ordered a coke and was brought a Pepsi. If you don’t have coke, say that when someone orders it. They also seemed understaffed, I overheard our waitress telling another waitress that people were waiting for tables because no one could get the tables cleaned and set. From my perspective, this place could use a better chef and more staff. We regret not making the drive to whitespot, that place gets it right every time.

A new restaurant so I gave it a few days from my first visit to try again. First of all VERY pricey for small town Penticton. I live in Toronto and expect those prices there, but this is something to be aware of. Cocktails are $17 for a tall glass filled with ice, it’s giving scam. Best to probably drink during happy hour. My grandmothers steak was filled with fat and overcooked. We did however get a free desert because of that, but be warned they are incredibly sweet. We couldn’t really stomach it. Service was okay but slow, and we never were asked for refills on our sodas.

We went for breakfast 2 days later, I believe our servers name was Jake? He was the only staff at 8:45am and looked to be run off his feet. It is expected to be chintzy with having staff on due to a new restaurant, but he was great all things considered. Breakfast was ok, the Benedict sauce was very vinegary. Their weekday breakfast menu is small, but the early bird pricing makes up for it if you can find something you enjoy. All in all it’s good to see new restaurants in town, but if you are claiming to be a steakhouse I’d love to see some better cuts of meat for the price you are charging for the steaks. Probably best to visit during happy hour or one of their other deals.

Hopefully will be back in the future to have a better experience once they are more established.
