For short term use this place is good. But if you are a citizen of Peterborough and use the place on a regular basis it's all gone down hill. Roof paint peeling and yes it has hit me in the face. (Brought to the attention of person in charge of the weight room in 2017). The weights are constantly out of place or missing.70 percent of the benches are cracked, or broken, flooring in certain areas have huge gaps in the rubber( Was never installed properly, once again brought to the attention to the same person in charge of the weight area). I honestly don’t know how my taxes and fee's pay for this. I am a person with patience but the final straw to write this, as I cut myself on one of the cracked benches. The city of Peterborough should be ashamed. Go to any neighbouring city and places are bigger and better taken care of. The reason for the two stars are for the front staff I interact with on a daily basis face to face that are amazing. But when it comes to scheduling of activities, and the weight area it is all frugal. The City of Peterborough should be ashamed to call this a “ premier facility”. I will still go here since of the convenience.

Update: Took 5 years but they seem to have corrected the dumbbell issues. My assumption is they read the review.

Now let’s keep hope that they fix the floor and benches soon, before another person injures themselves.

packed with foreign students who clearly aren't working out.. they walk the track, hang out at the side lines and view my wife and kids while they attend.. why do three 25yr old males need to use the gender inclusive changeroom.? if it weren't for the private programming that lease the space, i'd not be coming back.. certainly won't be sending my girls there alone anymore.

Almost double the price of the Trent Wellness centre for a day pass and they lack Concept 2 rowing ergometers. Instead they have an off brand water resistance rowing machines.

We use the pool at this centre for kids swimming lessons. The location is kept clean and has a nice viewing area for parents. A big drawback is how they have their entrance and key cards set up. They have the cards only valid for entrance, when the parent leaves and comes back they have to request to get back in, along with a line up of ppl at the desk. I assume this is to stop people from misusing the gym/pool. I feel as though they need a seperate scanned entrance for the gym key cards that would have time limitations, or extend the cards access for the length of the lesson. Currently the kids pool access can get irritating.

This provides a wide selection of indoor sports and gym equipment to suit a variety of fitness interests. Members have many of options to choose from, so they may work out and do different things to suit their tastes. The facility's appeal is further enhanced by the addition of a swimming pool, which offers a chance for leisure and fitness in the water.

Booked a birthday party, won't do that again and won't recommend to anyone. They completely overbooked, the pool was packed and the lifeguard told us our group had to wait, when we were only allotted 1 hour for swimming. We got in the pool for maybe 20 mins tops. The girl that was supposed to be helping was overwhelmed with 2 other parties, one of which had 80 people. Our party room was also a daycare room, which we weren't told, it was very small and we had hardly any space. Toys everywhere. Overall, our son's birthday felt like an afterthought. Not worth the money and left feeling very disappointed and sad for both my child and our guests. If you want to go swimming for a party, choose the YMCA.

My son and I adore the Wellness Centre! The staff are phenomenal, a big shout out to Judo Instructor Sensei Paul and Swimming instructor Jocelyn! Thank you for being so wonderful and patient with the children while they learn new skills!
