Great family breakfast in Cochrane!

I was able to take my young family of four to the new Phil’s location in Cochrane and enjoyed a very nice experience.

Food and atmosphere was very comfortable and food was prepared with a homestyle touch

We were able to sit down quickly and our food came out 5 minutes after ordering. Our kids were also provided colouring sheets and crayons which we appreciate! Ordered the famous signature pancakes, waffles, Bacon/Eggs Plate, and Eggs Benedict. The portions for the kids were generous and main portions for enough for me and my wife.

I would like to mention that the food was not prepared with a heavy amount of oil/butter/cheese so we were able to carry on our day comfortably

Bacon, hash, and waffles were particularly crispy and flavourful. Chubbies were tender and juicy. We were treated to a well executed breakfast!

This new location is a welcome addition and we look forward to coming back!

Good place. I always went to the one in Red Deer. And the menu is the same. Good friendly service attentive and so forth. Food was quick and of good quality. The bacon was crispy and NOT fatty. It also came exactly how I had asked for it. It is a good atmosphere quiet as well. I will come back and thankful that we have this in Cochrane.

A very nice, calm atmosphere with comfortable seating of tables and/or booths (approx seating for 80), amazingly friendly staff (Brooklyn was awesome) and topped off with consistently quality food makes for a spot that will be hard pressed to disappoint. Coffee was especially fresh and delicious - love that a personal carafe is left on table to ensure a constantly full, hot cup is present - the travellers breakfast covered everything needed - 2 eggs, 3 classic chubbies and 2 pancakes that were a perfect balance of doughy and firm; sweet and savoury. Yum Yum Sundae (2 scoops of vanilla ice cream on half a waffle, smothered in fruit) was icing on the cake.

Best drip coffee in town. The food was really good. The beef chubbies are yum. The Price for breakfast was responsible. There is accessible parking, and the whole restaurant is accessible. There is plenty of seating and a fair bit of space between tables. The staff are super friendly. By 10 am on the weekend it's getting fairly busy.

Born and raised in Alberta. Phils is a classic. I was so excited to see one pop up in Cochrane. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with warm decor and welcoming smiles. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Making you feel like you have entered a quant small town cafe. The food was spectacular and probably the best that I've had at any Phil's. We were so very pleased with our visit and definitely will be returning.

Today was my 3rd time eating at this location.
Obviously the fact that I went 3 times, the quality of food and service warranted a return visit. Despite reading all the recent negative feedback on local social media pages.

I wish I could rewind time an hour, and choose somewhere else for breakfast. Both my wife and I both feel sick, like we ate bad food.

Be both ordered eggs benny, not only did it take over 30 minutes to get, the food was cooked so poorly, I should have known better than to eat it.
Yuck, never again!

The topper was, when I was paying the bill, I had mentioned how disappointing our meals were, the waitress couldn’t have been any more unapologetic, which tells me it’s a common occurrence, because she just didn’t care lol

Good luck keeping the doors open with the service and quality of food offered today.

They were super busy when we visited on Sunday at noon (as expected) but the staff was quite attentive. The restaurant was clean.
My only issue was the Eggs Benedict. Their hollandaise sauce was nothing like anything I have had before. It almost tasted like a bland, slightly flavored chicken gravy. It looked almost clear and was totally unappealing
The shredded has browns however were delicious, the egg was poached perfectly. I just could t get past that sauce.
I would happily return again - but just order something different
