Local course to me and I love the layout. Unfortunately the course is not being taken care of due to ownership issues. The tee boxes are uncut, the fairways are same length as the rough, and the greens are rough. Staff are great and trying their best. I hope ownership wakes up and starts maintaining this course properly because it’s always been very good. If they continue to neglect it we will have to move elsewhere (which we don’t want to do).

This course is poorly maintained. The tee boxes are plain dirt, fairways are dry as hay, bunkers have more weeds than sand, the greens have seen better days.
This place used to be fantastic. The new foreign owners are running this place into the ground.

I have been playing this course every year for nearly 40 years and this year is the worst condition I have ever seen. The fairways are mainly dirt and weeds with the grass being snuffed out. What grass there is, had not been cut in recent memory. The greens are sometimes more dead than green and inconsistent. This explained why the green fee was only $62 on a Saturday when they used to be over a $100. I will golf elsewhere the rest of the season. Such a shame to see such a nice layout be so neglected. The folks that run Braestone in Orillia need to come and take over. They took a horrible course and turned it into a 5 star track. Sad

It was $50 for 18 with a cart. The price to play this course in cottage country is reasonable ( for a reason! ) BUT the course is in such poor shape it’s actually sad. There’s so much potential for this course but they let it go to waste, the fairways are cement waste lands, the tee boxes are awful and most of the greens are brown. It’s unfortunate and i won’t play this course again, instead I’ll spend a bit more and play Blair Hampton.

I have played Pinestone for decades and played July 5th, 2025 - it is in THE WORST shape I have ever seen. It's such a beautiful layout, but clearly the ownership doesn't care about the course condition. I also didn't see a single maintenance person all day. I won't return to play there. It's also overpriced for the course condition. Save your money and play elsewhere.

The villas are nice but rooms seem worn out & not very spacious. Pool has been in repair for last few months. Overall a nice place but needs improvements to make it welcoming

Amazing greens and scenery. Tee boxes and fairways could use some love, but the price makes this course more than worth it! Special gem in Haliburton.

Very disappointed. The maintenance here is lacking. More maintenance men driving around than actually keeping up the course. No real fairway thanks to the grass being either dead or too long. All the greens are dead. Waste of money unfortunately.
