Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit Plainsmen Arena in Airdrie. The arena was bustling with activity and excitement as children of all ages were having a blast skating on the ice. The atmosphere was lively and the sound of laughter filled the air.

I was particularly impressed with the size of the rink and the quality of the ice. The surface was smooth and well-maintained, making it perfect for the children to enjoy their time on the ice. However, the one thing I did not appreciate was the lack of support for beginners. There was no one available to help those who were just starting out, which made it difficult for them to get the hang of it.

Despite this, I have to say that overall, my visit to Plainsmen Arena was a positive experience. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and there was plenty of room for everyone to skate comfortably. The children all seemed to be having a great time, and the parents were all smiles as they watched their little ones enjoy themselves.

In conclusion, I would definitely recommend Plainsmen Arena to anyone looking for a fun family activity. Whether you are an experienced skater or a beginner, there is something for everyone here. Just be prepared to go it alone if you are a first-timer.

Nice place for hockey events, and skating. Even know the bathrooms, and lobby are pretty outdated the arena itself has great bones. Nice skating surface, and quite a bit of decent places to sit if you happen to be in the audience. Nice experience overall.

Turn on the heater, take off your jacket and have a nap! The bench side is cold but the heaters for the fans are so hot, you'll be sweating if you leave your jacket on. I've tipped my hat and had a few naps during practices in this rink. Half decent size lobby with a couple round tables but no snack shop and vending machines typically are out of order so bring your own snacks or food with you. Lots of places just down the street to get food so grab something on the way. Parking is in the back and is ok but not great when there's games back to back and fans are out. Easiest to drop the players off on the main street where the front doors are and then drive around back to park. Back doors are available to exit quickly to cars but you'll have to walk around to get in.

Lots of history in this old arena. Better suited to beer league hockey than anything else. Dressing rooms are tiny, only rivalled by the minuscule showers. Still, you can pack 10 grown men in the showers if they’re all pretty friendly with each other.

Great rink and spectator area. Needs concessions. Also lights in parking lot would be ideal.

Had a good time playing here Friday night shinny. Ice is very well kept, change rooms are good size. Recommend for some nice hockey games!

The heater is so hot my face feels like it's melting. I've had to remove my toque, jacket and sweater. Intense heat from these heaters in the stands. Good or bad? I'll leave that up to you.
