We couldn’t find another room on a busy weekend. I read a review on booking.com that it was old but clean. I thought for 2 nights as long as it wAs clean it would suffice. We booked through booking.com who should delete this place from their list because of all the negative complaints. We paid $326.60 for 2 nights upfront. It was smelly but we opened the windows. Then I pulled down the covers and it was obvious the sheets had not been changed on one bed. He came back to change arguing and yelling at us all the time that we were insulting him. Because he was so loud we wanted to turn off the tv and couldn’t find the remote. I checked under the bed and was shocked by the filth under there. Thick with dust food bugs a bottle and who knows what else. Then I looked behind the small fridge in the room as it wasn’t right against the wall and there was more filth and several bugs and beetles that looked like they were dead. (I took pictures) We said we needed it cleaned up we were told they only get paid 6 dollars and don’t clean under beds. I asked for the managers phone number and was given it and talked to Walter. Walter was rude and said tell him to clean it. So he went and got a skinny dollar store broom and pulled a lot stuff out from under the bed but by no means cleaned. No vacuum no mop. I told him we wouldnt stay the second night and wanted a refund but that didn’t happen. He told me I reminded him of those people from the south who think they’re privileged and want the poorer people to wait on them. The toilet quit flushing in the night and the shower was horrible a middle aged lady named Barb who also worked there was present throughout the whole conversation she would shake her head. When he left she apologized and said she just had to ignore him when he goes into these rampages. It was scary to even sleep there for the night but we had no place to go but left the next morning

Well, where do I start? Point form is easier.
- Our room was not what we reserved
- Manager was rude.
- The coffee pot in our room was not cleaned from the last customer.
- The room was moderately clean at best.The entire room is in need of a dusting and the carpet has had it.
- This is 2017 and the comp shampoo and conditioner best before date was dated back to 2015.
- The airconditoning at times sounded like a hit and miss engine and some stuff flew out of it when we fired it up.
- The tv ? 5 channels ? In this day and age?
- The bathroom simply needs Mike Holmes and his crew to take it to the studs and re-do it. It's rough and moldy in spots.
- I gave it 1 star because I slept pretty good in the bed.
You might ask, with so much to say about this place why did I stay? Because Every place within the area (102 hotels/motels) were sold out.
Recommend? Nope.
Am I coming back? Nope.
It did bring back fond memories of the musty smell of the old hunting camp when I walked in.............
1 star is plenty for this old place.

Unfortunately we had a mix up with another hotel and found this online during a long weekend . There are no words to describe the ghetto atmosphere of the room. Between the stench and cables hanging from the wall holding the cable box up, we had to buy odor removers, wipe down the headboard and dont even ask about the shower stall with its rusted walls. Charging full price for this is pure greed. I'll be sure to report to the authorities about this place. No outside lights, torn up loveseats outside.

It was a very bad experience staying in this motel. The property was not managed properly. The air conditioner was in such a bad codition it was too old and very much noisy. The bed mattress was very old and very soft. We even complained the owner about that but he didn't do anything about it. Even he didn't return the deposit after we checked out. The owner said he would not return the deposit money because of our poor reviews. Now my husband is going to call the RCMP and the lawyer about this situation. I hate to write this but the owner of this motel is a rip off.

This is definitely a Ghetto Place to stay! The condition of the place is a Horror Story!||The air conditioner was so loud and gungy that for our health we didn't use it.||Ants every where! Smelly and Yucky! When I asked to see Walter the owner I was told to just suck it up! And don't come back because Walter doesn't give anyone a refund. We didn't get any sleep due to the road noise. Yes they should definitely be shut down!

Not happy with this business owner. Had a room booked and needed to reschedule do to flight delays. Called and spoke to the owner to cancel and rebook for one day later then originally booked. I was told there were several vacant rooms available for the day I required accommodations. On the he day I arrived I noticed a payment had already been taken for the original booking. Since mistakes happen and I was willing to be patient for the error to be refunded and was willing to pay for the accommodations I received but not not extra. I was also charged a fee for for not canceling even though I did in fact cancel with the owner! However in the end I was over charged and billed for an extra day. No adjustment or refund. So disappointed. The worst is that the owner is very poorly skilled in communication and also very rude. Would only like a refund for the over charge. I am now a local. I highly recommend not staying here nor at their other motel “Slumber lodge” in Penticton BC.

Perfect for families! We loved our stay at Pleasant View, we travel often so know what to expect for $100/night motel with pool, however we were 'pleasant'ly surprised. I highly suggest you spend the $15 extra per night for the larger unit with kitchen. The simple two queen bed room is cramped and we had our dog so we would have been stepping on each other. The pool was a bonus! The motel is directly across the street from Tim Hortans, Dairy Queen and a grocery store. You can't beat the location! Dog vacationers- this place is perfect to bring your dog, you walk right outside to a large grass area for bathroom breaks.

The rooms are dated but this is common in motels. Our room was clean, bathroom looked like it had been recently painted and tub area fixed, so you know they are doing some improvements.

We actually have no complaints. think of the price and be realistic on what you are getting and you will be really happy with your stay.
