What a gorgeous spot! The grounds and gardens are well maintained. We moored our boat at the marina and stayed in a king lodge room on the third floor. Room was clean and well set up. Lovely tile work and shower with water pressure. It was quiet and tranquil near the manmade cascading waterfall, we slept with the door open all night! Each room had a lovely ocean view and patio perfect for watching the sunset. We enjoyed the clean pool but did wish the washrooms and floor around the pool had been looked after more frequently. (Muddy feet!)
Absolutely nothing to complain about the food! You have to have the nachos which are layered and loaded! No skimping on ingredients here! Like most places, probably a bit short staffed in the restaurant and pub.
Very thankful for the efficient and friendly service of Lisa. She practically ran the food service areas! We thought that for a resort of this size there would be more of a manager presence so that guests would feel seen. When we first arrived, we understood that we could not check in early. However, the desk clerk confirmed our phone number so that she could call us when it was ready, and we never heard from her. After a couple of hours we went back to check in and there was a different clerk at the desk. Not a huge deal to us on a hot sunny day but it could have been to some people.
Would definitely return

We rented the 3 bedroom villa, two 3 bedroom cottages and two king lodge rooms for 17 adults and 2 children. Some decor is a bit worn and there are some small quirks in the cottages and villa but the beds and linens are new and comfortable. The kitchens and bathrooms are spotless. The views are wonderful and the landscaping is lovely.|We had breakfast in the Aurora and dinner in Syren's. The staff in both were efficient and very personable. We were all impressed with the food and the service (and keep in mind there were 19 of us all at once). |We worked around the road closure and it was not an issue.|I organized the successful two day family celebration with the help of Ilia (accommodation), Christine (Front Desk) and Chrystal (food service). Thank you.|Many of us plan to return in the future. Highly recommend.

The resort is incredibly well positioned. Wonderful sunset view. Restaurant closes too early 8pm. Before sunset. Complimentory wine was charged Corkage fee in restaurant, we would have drunk in room if known (and we asked). Pool towels Same as shower towels.

Beautiful location. Very quiet. We stayed in a middle row cottage, at the end of the row, closest to the forest. The deer came onto the property to rest on the lawn.

The rooms were airy and clean. I loved the heated bathroom floor. The kitchen has a great layout. There were all sorts of rosewood furniture and rosewood accents in the cottage we were in.

The private hot tub was wonderful, and we were delighted to see many stars from it at night.

The restaurant and pub were lovely, and had lovely patios. Nice walkways to and from the amenities area.

There was a bit of a haul to get from the car to the cottage. If you are handicapped, mention it to the front desk at the time of booking to get a unit close to parking.

I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Great location, unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations resulting in a disappointing stay. Same owners of Harrison Hot Springs, and just as RUNDOWN and OLD.. No restaurants available until 11am and closes at 8pm. Out of luck if you don't bring food.
Cleanliness – The patio, one of the key features, had not been swept or maintained for quite some time. It was unpleasant to sit outside surrounded by spider webs and dirt.
Fridge did not work in our room, and front desk didn't care.
Housekeeping – Basic amenities were not maintained. Shampoo dispensers were empty.
The stay lacked the small comforts and polish expected at a 4-star property. Hallway windows were dirty, carpets were in need of a deep clean, and no complimentary bottled water was offered either at check-in or in the room.
Check-in experience – We were visiting for a special occasion—and had requested an early check-in to make the most of the day. Unfortunately, no effort was made to accommodate this request, nor were any alternatives or suggestions provided. There was only one staff member working the front desk, and although it was clear rooms had been cleaned earlier than 4:00 p.m., I was not contacted when one became available.
Communication – The in-room phone system did not work. Calls from my cell phone to the front desk went directly to a call centre, which was frustrating for addressing on-site issues; requiring me to have to walk down to the front desk each time we needed anything.
Pool area – The pool was not well maintained during our two-day stay. We never saw staff conduct a walk-through, several chairs were broken and hazardous, and my mother narrowly avoided injury when using one of them.
Highly disappointing.

Not worth the money! Unfortunately we didn’t sleep for 2 nights. The mattress are totally finished. So soft and sunk in that sleeping is impossible. Front desk staff don’t bother to answer the phone and apparently don’t care if you have an issue. They said “oh ok I’ll let management know”, not “I am sorry how can I help”, it was clear the front desk staff know the issues and don’t care or know nothing will be done.

The tragedy is this place could be/was amazing. The big pool is out of order (in full summer) and the little store is also “under renovation”. No one answered the spa phone or was at the desk Saturday afternoon. No one cared if we had any issue if the kitchen outlets didn’t work or if you need bedding in the cottage. I guess if the cottage you get is in better condition maybe you can get by? Save your money and go to The Cottages on Salt Spring, less money for something amazing.

Really really disappointed I had wanted to come here for years and I feel like I utterly wasted my money. Management clearly has no idea how bad things are or simply doesn’t care.
