I really like this facility — it’s very new, clean, and well-maintained. The pool is great, although I found the dry and steam saunas a bit small, especially considering the size of the place and the number of visitors.
There aren’t many changing rooms or showers, and there’s no cold plunge pool — just one cold shower. I wish the showers were cleaned more frequently, maybe every 30 minutes or so, as some visitors don’t seem to maintain cleanliness.
There’s no diving area or balcony to relax between swims, but there is an outdoor splash zone with fun water play equipment that kids will love. It would be even better if they added some seating in that area for people to rest.

Excellent facilities to improve your physical fitness, regulate your emotional/mental health, practise sports, relax in a yoga class, have a swim in the beautiful pool, make new friends, have a coffee or a light meal, and enjoy great leisure activities. From babies to elders, everybody feels PCCC is a safe, friendly, and fun place to spend time with family and friends. Great instructors and staff keep the activities organized, and fun! Too bad the classes get full so fast!

Excessive Noise at Port Coquitlam Community Centre Pool & Hot Tub Area

Totally dissatisfaction regarding the extremely high noise levels in the swimming pool and hot tub area at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre.

What should be a relaxing and rejuvenating experience in the jacuzzi often turns into an overwhelmingly unpleasant one—more reminiscent of a night club than a wellness facility. The combination of blaring music, multiple loud wall-mounted fans, and instructions delivered via teachers microphone creates an environment where normal conversation is nearly impossible without shouting.

The music volume is controlled by lifeguards, many of whom are teenagers, and their preference for heavy metal and hard rock is not only unsuitable for a spa-like atmosphere but further exacerbates the chaotic environment.

This is not the standard one would expect from a community facility designed for people of all ages seeking wellness and relaxation. I urge management to review and revise the current sound policy in the pool and hot tub area, which by now average 97 decibels, like a Hard Rock Concert (Picture Attached).

A quieter, more serene environment—perhaps with soft background music, reduced fan noise, and better microphone use—would greatly improve the experience for all patrons.

At present, I would not recommend this facility to others looking for a relaxing or family-friendly aquatic experience.

Avoid it at any cost !!!

🔈 Recommended Noise Levels (in decibels - dB):
Swimming pool general area: 70–75 dB (maximum)

Hot tub / spa area (relaxation zone): Below 60 dB is ideal

Above 80 dB: Considered intrusive and potentially harmful with prolonged exposure

this is a newly renovated community centre and it’s phenomenal. it’s clean and spacious. the gym has two floors and a decent amount of equipment. the pool is nice, no deep end for lane swimming but very good for kids. sauna is really hot.

Amazing facility. We were here for a lacrosse tournament, everybody had good things to say about this place.

Dressing rooms were roomy and had no smell, bathroom area was awesome too and the best part of the lockers is the water bottle fill station at the sinks.

The turf on the box lacrosse court is great, once the players got their feet used to it they liked it.

I did a small walk around and this place is huge, maintenance doesn't like how sprawling it is but I guess it was built around the old facility so what you gonna do?

I really liked the fact that I can grab a beer too, the selection was great. (Recommend the hazy pale ale) The food was also good at that restaurant.

Parking is super tight down below but didn't have a problem with finding a spot.
