It was one of my best friend's birthday and it was her wish to go visit The Portly Piper. As you entered the buzz of lively conversation greeted you. Our table was at the front with a party of 5 .We soon had our own conversation going. My friend got a surprise visit from her cousin from the US. well you can imagine the screams and hugs and loud laughter,which just blended in with the others.
The layout consisted of booths which offered a measure of privacy. There were tv screens everywhere for sports fans
Our Server was excellent, I
forgot her name but I did compliment her.
The portions size were very impressive.
I didn't like the jambalaya it tasted like meat in tomato sauce over white rice. I prefer jambalaya cooked all together.
Food was so much we all mixed and shared with each other.
Lovely time,lovely atmosphere lovely food and lovely server thank you.

My husband and I recently visited Portly Piper Pub in Ajax, located right on Westney Rd South. It was my first time there, and it definitely won't be my last! This cozy pub has a lovely and warn atmosphere.

We received a friendly greeting at the door, and the service from all the staff was excellent. Even the owner was busy working and interacting with diners, which truly exemplified great hospitality and customer satisfaction.
There was a lot of people out on a Friday night, the staff's service was impressively fast, and they worked well as a team, making everyone feel welcome and appreciated from what I experienced and observed.
What I particularly admire is the generous portion sizes for the price. When my meal arrived, I was amazed by the quantity and hoped it would be just as tasty. A shout-out to the chef(s) for the delicious baked salmon and shrimp topped with mango and apple chutney, chicken souvlaki, coconut shrimp, and the best cheesecake in town!

This will definitely be one of my go-to places.

My Girlfriend and I love all the restaurants owned by this family. Portley (Ajax & Oshawa), frosty John's (Bowmanville), one eyed jacks (Uxbridge & Oshawa). The food is incredible, service is great and the prices are reasonable. The Portley locations are a little noisy but we love them none the less. I highly recommend these restaurants.

Great place to hangout with friends. Good food and drinks.I had a fantastic meal at Portly Piper on in Ajax. The restaurant has a lovely seating setting. I tried the wings and the jafna fries and both were delicious. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the flavors were amazing. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, I had a great experience at and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal and drinks in Ajax.

This Portly Piper is just massive inside. It is quite vibrant and loud when you first walk in. There are a couple of large areas off at either end where it is quieter. And a little hidden section off the side of the bathrooms.

Their food and drink selection is large. We were there on Wednesday when appetizers were 30% off after 5 pm. Everything we had was tasty. My top 3 for the night were the lobster crab dip, fried cheese curds and either the fried calamari or coconut shrimp. Their drink prices were reasonable. Their service was friendly and efficient. I recommend this pub.

Super busy Saturday dinner time, and we had a large party but the staff handled it all very well. The one criticism is that the restaurant was remarkably noisy, not from music, just from the crowd? And having MMA on the TVs during dinner didn't provide a positive atmosphere.

Great pub, with excellent vibes and pretty good food. The menu is massive! Thankfully our server made some recommendations which really paid off. The chicken Souvlaki and Butter Chicken are not to be missed
