The hotel has gone downhill and we won't be staying there again. The hotel is very dated and needs extensive renovations. The kitchenette we stayed in looked like it was last updated in 70s and the appliances were nearly worn out. The AC barely worked and our room was very warm. The mattresses are well worn and provide little support or comfort. Then there were the issues with housekeeping, they didn't even do the bare minimum. I asked the house cleaner one day to vacuum the room and I was told that is not on her list. My daughters stayed in another room and had similar issues. I would not recommend staying here.

Stayed one night as part of a road trip to see the lake. Older hotel with "some" updates. Be warned, there is no elevator here so if you have mobility issues this is not a good place. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Room was not as clean as it could be. I had to wipe down the side table as it had some kind of sticky substance all over it. Also not very generous with the towels. We were two people and we had a bath towel each and a wash cloth to share and one hand towel. Air conditioner was iffy and it only cooled the room off somewhat. No breakfast available anywhere in town for early risers, we needed to be on the road by 6 am and there was nothing open before 7 or 8.

There was a lot of missed basic maintenance. For example, the air conditioner in the room was barely functional due to a clogged filter, there were some areas where the paint was flaking, a tile was falling off the kitchen counters, etc. There was some missed housekeeping too, such as hair in the bath and stains on the sheets. I’m fine with it being old as long as it’s maintained, but this didn’t feel like it was. For $260 a night for an executive room, it leaves a lot to be desired.

What to expect when your staying here

A bit pricey

Very good location, they have recently renovated washrooms.

No complimentary breakfast

Needs lots of upgrades

Inn is old, outdated and pricey

The good thing is you are able to book your stay online.

The hotel as gone downhill. There was a spider web on my lamp. I had the dog room which stunk, I had to buy air fresheners and leave the window open to have fresh air. Carpets are filthy, and the day to day room service was making the bed and changing towels. Requested to vacuum, and it wasn’t done. Beds were hard and lop sided, my room smelled like pee. Needs a whole renovation, look at other places. It’s not worth the price
