I called this nail shop before coming in to confirm the price they would charge for an acrylic overlay on my natural nails with shellac polish. I was told $55 so I headed into the shop as I felt this was reasonable. The gentleman that did my nails was absolutely fabulous and my nails turned out great. This issue was when I went to pay I was being charged $75....not what I was told when I called. When I informed the guy at the cash I was told $55 on the phone he informed me that it was $65 plus tax and that I had heard wrong. I absolutely did not hear wrong as I repeated the price quoted on the call and was told, yes, $55. This is really disappointing that they felt ripping me off for the extra $10 was worth losing a customer. I will never go back due to this which is unfortunate since I really liked the job that was done.

I've been getting my nails done since I was 15. This is the worst set I've ever gotten since I started doing my nails. The nails were too thick, the shape I asked for was coffin, and not at all what I got. The nails were too big for my dainty fingers. I showed them what I wanted 3 times. They forgot to do it. Got 2 colors and a bit of power dip on 2 nails. They charged me $130.

Went to darling nails at mayflower the other day, got them thinned out, shaped properly, and did a different design (more than requested here) and I paid 103.

The prices here are not worth the work they do. And the work they do is unfortunately not any good.

Highly unprofessional… I went from Sydney to glacebay just for doing nails… first I took some time to choose the colour.. but one lady came and said we are taking too much time … I’m not sure if it was the owner but man in spectacles came showing me his phone and said 8 min left to close and started talking to me very rudely which wasn’t professional at all … so if they were in such a hurry to do nails and leave (closing) they could have said they don’t have time and asked me to book an appointment or come next day… also after the guy came and was talking rudely … they started talking to each other and gossiping in their own language… which wasn’t fair as I knew they are talking about me…
I will never go back to this salon or recommended it to anyone… highly unprofessional and rude people…

I just wanted to get my nails painted and I took some time to decide what colour I wanted. I went to this place for the first time. Being a first time customer, I expected some basic courtesy from the people working there. Rather the lady stood on my head and kept telling me that I’m taking too long. When I asked her to give me some time, she said she has other clients waiting in line. There was no one except me and one other lady getting her nails done at the time. I would never go here again. Cherry on top - Highly Overpriced. When I asked for a breakdown of the price, the lady just ignored my question.

Highly over-priced for botched nails. They rush through clients and when you try to voice an issue they just completely ignore it. Worst set of nails I’ve ever gotten. All different lengths and super chunky. Disappointing.

I have had pedicures and broken acrylic nails fixed. Although this shop uses only 'tips' for acrylic nails, they were very good at the repairs and matched my other nails perfectly. I do not live in Glace Bay but this is my go to shop when I am in the area. Staff are friendly, professional and following pandemic protocols. No booking appointments. Walk ins welcome.

Great service at a reasonable price! It’s a clean place with friendly staff members. Got acrylic nails done and they turned out beautiful. Unlike other places, they don’t slam the customers with extra charges for matt finish or nail length.

Highly dissatisfied with the way the woman talked to my sister today. They don’t have the basic sense of treating their customers with courtesy. Plus highly overpriced.
