Randle House is more than beautiful. We spent 5 nights and the hosts were very hospitable. The place and our room with a balcony were just beautiful. This is no ordinary BnB. There is also so much to see in the area and Randle House made for a great beach base. We loved swimming in the ocean, going for a nice local hike atvPiper’s Lagoon and visiting Chemanius Theatre, a 35 min trip, where we caught a musical priduction ( be sure to opt in for the buffet). Also, ask the hosts about the catamaran tour - it’s both relaxing and fun at the same time and the up close views of the surrounding islands is gorgeous. Overall, I would highly recommend this luxury BnB.

Randle House By The Sea is by far the best B&B you will find in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island!! It rates 10 stars in every category: hospitality, breakfast, location, comfort, price. We spent five nights in Taaja's and Ken's beautiful home on Departure Bay. We were welcomed like good friends the moment we arrived at the door. The setting is gorgeous, which made it difficult to leave and explore the island each day. Taaja's delicious breakfasts were skillfully prepared and adorned with various herbs and eatable flowers from her garden. Our room was a sanctuary. The morning sunrises were spectacular everyday! We enjoyed having coffee each daybreak on the balcony overlooking the glassy bay before our day began. It was quite serene. The linens and bed were of high quality, also. In addition to a top notch B&B, Taaja and Ken were genuinely warm and hospitable, making us feel like friends rather than customers. Taaja called a friend and arranged a catamaran tour for us and Ken was extremely helpful in giving us tips on what sights to see and which restaurants were good. Nanaimo was a perfect location because we could take day trips to explore other parts of the island. Our entire stay on Vancouver Island was exceptional because of Taaja and Ken, and because we chose Randle House By The Sea as our B&B. Taaja and Ken went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful and memorable. THANK YOU Taaja and Ken!!!

We had a great stay. Wonderful property, great hosts, central location. Taaja created some wonderful breakfasts, and we'll likely use the ideas next time we are hosting family at our place. We were able to eat outside every day except one - the weather was wonderful during our weekend getaway. While here, we saw seals, various sea birds and eagles, and even a family of deer walking down the beach! The B&B was handy to the city and many local attractions - being our first visit to Nanaimo we tried to take it all in. Ken's recommended locations were great, and we found a couple of our own. Be sure to check out Neck Point Park, Cathedral Grove, Cuckoo's, Bamboozle, Qualicum Beach Farmer's Market (Saturdays), Courtyard Cafe, Mon Petit Chou (unbelievable Nanaimo Bars), Dinghy Dock Pub, Troller's, and Crow & Gate Pub.

Myself, husband and two children had the pleasure of staying at Randal House. Ken and Taaja are fantastic hosts, and provide beautiful, comfortable accommodations. You cannot beat the location in Departure Bay, and literally steps from the ocean. All of the necessary comforts of home were provided, with the exception of laundry. We lucked out with family near by willing to do our laundry, but the availability of on-site laundry facilities would have been ideal. ||We are sad to leave, and will miss the beautiful views, outdoor eating, and beach wandering. Amazing stay!

Randle House By the Sea is a new B&B but also a Vacation rental with a separate self contained suite. This is a newer home that was architecturally designed to look like a well appointed and richly built older style English home. It is located on the shore of Departure Bay in Nanaimo which allows the guest to watch the coming and going of the Vancouver bound ferries and local boating and water sports. The beach is suitable for swimming with sand for children to play. ||The rooms have separate baths and again are very well appointed and decorated with very comfortable beds and upscale sheets. Breakfasts are gourmet and a delight.||The hosts are very well travelled, engaging and delightful. This is a B&b that I can highly recommend to fellow travellers...

Such a clean and spacious environment. We were very comfortable staying here and should have stayed much longer. The access to the beach and friendly welcome made for a great beach city vacation. Everyone was more than willing to help and pleasant to talk to. My wife and I can’t wait to come back next summer. Please don’t change a thing!

Beautiful property! The sweet is so cozy!||The location is very central making it easy to see Victoria and Comox. The Host are super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Will be visiting again for sure!

Not one bad thing can be said about this lovely place. Gorgeous accommodation, supreme 5 star breakfast and views to die for. Both hosts quirky and lovely in their own way. Would definitely stay here again.
