Ordered a red velvet cake that was requested for a special birthday. Spent over $100 for a 10" cake and when we cut into it, it was chocolate. When I called and emailed the store, they said it was red velvet they just didn't add enough red dye. When I said red velvet is not dyed chocolate cake, they said most bakeries just dye their cake. It did not taste or look like red velvet. If you are looking for red velvet, do not order from here.

Came in today at 5:35pm. You close at 6:00pm. Walked in and said nothing. Looked around and waiting. Continues waiting as you seemed to be getting numbers for closing I assume. We waited a few minutes and you said nothing to us. We saw probably $25 worth of baked goods to buy but bought nothing because you just ignored us. Do your closing at closing and always greet customers and handle customers first. Not second or third or after you're done doing your tasks. You went from an occasional treat to a never again because of your service.

First time at this bakery today, I picked up a cake. I had asked for writing on the cake however the writing was quite messy and if I was told to have an alternative saying on the cake as there was not enough space I would have changed what I asked to have written on the cake.

Anyways the woman helping me brought out the cake and it looked very unprofessional and messy. I don’t have a picture of it as I kindly asked for the writing to be taken off, which was done. However when the cake was brought out after having requested the change it wasn’t shown to me and I never asked to look at it as I thought it would have just been rei-iced. Instead when I got home and opened the box I got a cake that look very poorly made.

Also the cake was tasteless and to be honest we ended up throwing 90% of it out because no one liked it so it was a waste of money, time and taste.

I would not recommend this bakery for the price, flavour and customer service was not good at all. There are better bakeries in the area that one can visit.

(Candles were inserted at home, but you can tell the top was just scarped off and no effort to redo it was done)

I don't believe the timing should make a difference. To go cakes aren't supposed to be pre ordered they are meant for customers to grab on the go regardless of time. I hope you do understand that. Thanks for your reply.

The cakes here are moist and tasty. But was thoroughly disappointed with the customer service the last time I was in.

Bought a cake for my daughter’s 16th birthday asked them to write on it and wasn’t shown the cake nor did I ask. When I went to take it out for dessert I opened it and realized that birthday was misspelled and the writing was very unprofessional. I emailed the bakery and they said since I didn’t look at the cake and took it that there was nothing they could do.

I visited last weekend and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a cinnamon bun and a cup of coffee. The cinnamon bun was soft, warm, and full of flavor—it was the best I’ve had in a long time

Richlea Bakery has been here for ages.
Staff are always helpful and friendly.
Admittedly i only come for the doughnuts, cant go wrong with the cronuts (cinnamon and sugar are the OG).
Boston Creme is usually my favourite but i find the dougnut itself for those ia a bit drier than id like most times.

Just moved to Tsawwassen and have already found our go-to bakery. I phoned in to have Richlea make a berry vanilla cake for my wife's birthday, on which the employee over the phone was pleasant and helpful. Everyone commented how excellent the cake was – light, fluffy but moist vanilla cake, with a perfect berry lining, not too sweet and well presented. Thank you for providing one of the highlights for her birthday... Expect to see us in often!

Definitely, without doubt, My Favorite Go To Bakery! Conveniently located in Ladner Centre, a few steps from Save On Foods, is Richlea Bakery!

When I'm picking up Groceries, or a Take Away Curry from Doon Indian Restaurant (a few doors down!), I love stopping into Richlea Bakery to pick up the Tastiest Chocolate Donut and an Apple Strudel!

They have so much more and it's all Great!
