This is such a wonderful, wonderful place. The hosts are friendly, the rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding. Close to everything but off the main shore drive so it was very quiet. The view off the deck is pretty special too. Why would you stay anywhere else?

We went for a wedding and stayed a week in April. This is my first time at a bed and breakfast. I was so impressed with the fancy decor, our private bathroom, freshly made breakfast. This place was so much nicer than the so-called posh hotels in downtown Vancouver.

I had a very disappointing experience with sand and salt bed &breakfast. I booked a two-bedroom unit from July 7th to July 10th through Expedia at a confirmed rate. However, after my reservation was finalized, the hotel contacted me claiming a “system error” and insisted that I cancel and rebook at a much higher rate of $449 per night, totaling $1,347 (before any Expedia discount).

When I pushed back, they responded by saying, “That is perfectly fine, however, we will need to invoice you the difference in the room rate prior to your arrival.” This is completely unacceptable. A confirmed booking should be honored, and forcing customers to pay extra after the fact is highly unprofessional. Customers should not be penalized for the hotel’s internal pricing errors.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values transparency and reliability in their bookings.

Dwayne and Terry made our BC trip special with gourmet breakfast each morning and a luxurious place to unwind. Beautiful accommodations with fantastic views. We’ll be coming back again!

The location is pleasant: nice views and cool breezes.|The breakfast is mediocre at best.|They have an obnoxious threatening dog which would preclude a subsequent visit for us.|The room is way too small for the pool table. Leave your cue at home.
