Endroit assez vieux, mais avec une belle vue sur l'eau. Nous avions réservé deux nuits séparées (nous allions plus loin sur l'île entre temps). La personne à la réception était bien sympathique à notre arrivée. L'eau était tiède/froide la première fois. Toutefois, je ne m'en étais pas formalisée puisque nous partions le lendemain matin. À notre retour, nous avions une autre chambre. Nous avons fait le sauf en trouvant des bébittes mortes dans la douche. La propreté de la chambre nous questionnait grandement. Lorsque nous avons informé la réceptionniste, on nous a répondu que nous étions sur le bord de l'eau donc que ceci pouvait arriver (mais les bébittes n'étaient pas en vie, mais bien mortes). Puis, mon conjoint est allé voir la dame pour nommer que nous souhaitions partir. Elle aurait verbalisé qu'elle acceptait de nous rembourser. Toutefois, malgré les démarches, le remboursement n'a pas été effectué (ceci semble plus compliqué vs réservation avec Booking. Toutefois, je suis convaincu que l'établissement aurait pu faire davantage vs il semble y avoir du soutien aux établissements plus qu'au client). En bref, je suis bien déçue de l'expérience.

La cour arrière a été ravagé par les marées au printemps et toujours pas réparé. Aucun accès à la plage et aucune possibilité de profiter de la cour. Aucun avis n'a été envoyé pour nous en aviser même si notre réservation a été faite avant les dommages! Surprise donc à notre arrivée pour un motel qui se veut accès direct à la plage! Aucun dédommagement ! Administration qui ce fout de sa clientèle. Et en plus aucune climatisation!

I personally would not stay here again. While the location is great the hotel is run down and needs to be shut down while they do up keep. I booked a corner ocean view room with my 2 kids. The ocean balcony is the main reason I had booked. When arriving there was a table in front of the balcony door . I moved it and tried to open the door. It wouldn’t open and had a board across one side. I phoned and asked if I could open the door and was told it is being worked on and un usable. To pay the amount of money for what is listed on a luxury site and come to a place that is boarded up without being told is insane to me! You are also expected to wash your dishes (which is fine ) but they give you extremly watered down dish soap and one tiny pot scrubber. The handbook in the room had said house keeping before 1pm and if not needed place do not disturb on the door. I did not do that but house keeping never came in the 4 days I was there. I had expected an older building but didn’t except things to not be in working order. I personally would find another space to stay at.

My room was lovely. I was impressed by the kitchenette. The king sized bed and sofa bed were both very comfortable. It was great to be in a room right on the ocean. There were a couple of things that could have been better. The little fan could only keep one of us cool at a time. AC would be better. The other thing was that the stairs were difficult for my sister, who has arthritis in her knees to navigate. Overall, the Sand Pebbles Inn is worth the price.

We stayed at the Sand Pebbles Inn in July.  Great location with fantastic views of the Strait of Georgia.  Close to the beach which was great for morning and early afternoon walks until the tide came in.  The unit we stayed in was very spacious with a  lovely balcony and a full kitchenette but no air conditioning which wasn't a huge issue for us.

However, there were a number of issues which do prevent me from recommending this hotel to anyone...

It's too close to the road.  I'm a pretty sound sleeper but it did affect my wife.

A little run down.  The outside could use a coat of paint.

Smoking.  The hotel advertises itself as non smoking but there was definitely someone smoking in the office or the unit attached to the office as cigarette smoke continually wafted up to us on the second floor above the office.  I did complain but I was brushed off even though I saw one of the staff smoking.  If you do end up staying here try not to stay in any of the rooms above the office.

Smack dab on the beach!!! An older property but nicely maintained. Close to downtown and a short walking distance to several restaurants. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Very quiet despite being on main road. Beds very comfortable. An enjoyable stay, thankyou!!

I would personally find different hotel. Although location is great and beds were comfy , I think they need to shut down the hotel to do the necessary work for it to be up to par. I booked an ocean view room. Once arriving we noticed how run down and old it was but we had expected an older place. We got into our room and a table was in front of the balcony door with a board on one side. I tried to open it and couldn’t. I called down to the front desk and was told that because it’s being worked on the ocean view balcony was out of commission. I did explain that the room was hot and I would love to just open the door for a breeze. That was not allowed as it’s not safe. This was not disclosed to me when booking or at check in. I would not have rented a room with a balcony facing the ocean that I could not use. You cannot cancel your room for any reason up to a week before so I couldn’t go find somewhere else to stay. You are expected to wash your own dishes (which is fine ) but they give you extremely watered down dish soap and a tiny little square pot scrubber. I re washed all my dishes before using because I didn’t think that was a good way to get clean stuff. Also reading the hand book it said house keeping was available before 1:00, if you don’t want house keeping put the do not disturb on the door. I did not do that as I knew I would at least want new towels. They did not come for my whole 4 day stay and I just decided to leave my garbage outside the front door. I would not recommended staying here. If you do ask for ground floor so at you you can sit outside to view the ocean. Staff did not care that I was upset about the ocean view balcony.

The hotel manager’s attitude was awful. We wanted a sea view room. When I called, the young girl said 204 is ok, so we booked it. After booking, the boss lady suddenly said “cannot guarantee.” Excuse me Isn’t that a scam? We kept trying to talk with her for so long, no solution, and in the end she just hung up the phone. So rude and zero respect. Haven’t even arrived yet and the trip mood is already destroyed.
