The hotel overall isn’t bad — cleanliness is quite decent too, although everything is pretty old. In some places the wallpaper is peeling, and the carpet is quite worn out. Still, everything more or less holds together, and for this area, it’s actually a good option.

The only real downside I found is if you come here for work and share a room with a colleague — for example, if one of you has a night shift and the other a day shift — it becomes quite difficult. The room practically won’t be cleaned at all. You won’t get your toilet paper or towels replaced, which is a big minus. Unfortunately, for rooms shared by more than one person, you can forget about proper cleaning.

The management also doesn’t really seem interested in checking if you need extra toilet paper or towels. It’s not like the hotel has thousands of rooms — they could easily make small improvements that would make guests’ stays much more comfortable.

Overall though, the staff are very friendly, and there’s plenty of parking space, so don’t worry about that when you come.

Well I certainly was not expecting five star but based on the chain I certainly did not expect 1.5 stars. The arrival and greeting by the employees was fine but the moment I walked in to the room that all changed. This room was run down in all aspects to having dirty walls, dirty silverware in drawer, objects under the carpet, and even additional hair on the wall in the bathroom. As bad as that was one morning I had no hot water. Had I not already prepaid and had the town not already been packed I would have left but there were no other accommodations available. By the way if you like a dark room to sleep that also was not available as the super bright lights out on the balcony lite the room up as the curtains were way to far away from the window. I am happy to report though that there were no bedbugs.

I would like to share feedback regarding our recent stay at the Sandman in Princeton, BC, September 2025.||We make a point of booking Sandman Hotels whenever possible. On our most recent 10-night trip, we stayed six nights at Sandman properties, and we have always appreciated the comfort and service we receive. Unfortunately, this particular stay was disappointing—not because of the property itself, but because of the manager’s attitude and conduct.||When we arrived, the manager remained seated at the desk and did not greet us. After I provided our booking information, I asked if our room was on the ground floor, as my wife has mobility issues. I had requested this at the time of booking. The manager replied there were no ground floor rooms available, which I understood, but when I politely asked if there was any possibility of accommodating us, her response was: “What do you want me to do, kick someone out?” I was shocked by the dismissive tone.||As a retired individual with over 40 years in the food service distribution industry, I know firsthand that customers are the reason any business succeeds. The one thing I learned was that the "customer" paid my wages not the employer! This interaction made it very clear that lesson has been missed here. ||The situation worsened when I noticed my profile listed me as a Platinum RSVP member. I explained that I had recently advanced to Diamond status, even showing her both my confirmation email and my RSVP account. She continued to argue that “the form says Platinum, so that’s what you are,” rather than acknowledging the error. It wasn’t about the food voucher—it was the unwillingness to listen or engage respectfully. I made an attempt to show her an email from Sandman Group acknowledging the status as well I opened my account to also verify it with her but she kept arguing! ||Finally, at checkout, when I asked for a printed receipt in addition to the emailed copy, the manager rolled her eyes at me in clear annoyance. This was both unnecessary and unprofessional.||While our room was clean, the property itself is showing its age, as does the attitude of its management. The photos on the website also did not reflect what we experienced.

GREAT PRICE! very clean room, comfortable beds and very very quite!!! But the best part of our stay was meeting Julie at the front desk... shes delightful, helpful and fun! Plus she lives there and makes sure nobody disturbs other guests, We will stay there again for sure!

The room and facilities are very dated and in rough condition. Front door sill and around door was not sealed. You see light all around it. Unit needs a massive update all over. The stairs leading to second floor is a loose and one steel post was rusted off. Not a place I would plan a second stay anytime soon. Hi

Drove up and to this place and first thing I thought was ‘RUN’. Old, shabby, run down and definitely not a ‘hotel’ as advertised. Checking in was no better. No elevator, restaurant closed, AC so loud you couldn’t watch the TV let alone sleep. Paint peeling on single glazed windows, lumpy sofa bed, screw holes in walls from installation of wall board.
