My first time since the restaurant changed names. Some upgrades with the decor. Patio wasn’t open yet which was disappointing as it was the long weekend. I got the Artichoke dip. It wasn’t what you usually think it would be, it seemed like it had a mushroom soup vibe and could barely find chunks of artichoke. Lots of pita with it though which was good. My friends got the pulled pork poutine which had a decent size amount of meat on it. But said it was okay. My suggestion is come for the beer.

Great food, good selection of local beers on tap, nice atmosphere.

Service was very slow though.

It is close to home so I thought it was worth another try again…. Unfortunately not, I got a wet pizza that was white as a ghost on the bottom, obviously very under cooked. Service was very slow even though they weren’t busy. Had to find someone so I could pay the bill. Huge waste of $80

Be careful if you’re vegan or have a dairy allergy. We were excited to try this new place yesterday as the vegan options looked pretty good. I ordered the fry bread which had a V+ symbol on the menu. I clearly asked for it to be made vegan when I ordered. After we’d eaten half of it our server came to the table and told us the dip that we were given wasn’t vegan. As I’d asked for it to be vegan I assumed it was made with vegan mayo so had been eating it. We won’t be returning as I need to be able to trust I’m served a vegan meal when I ask for one.

Editing to add this a few months later- I ended up having to come back here yesterday to meet some friends.
I ordered the 50/50 burger which had a V+ sign so could be made vegan. I got a burger in between two pieces of lettuce. No bun. (Picture attached).
I couldn’t believe it especially as 99% of all bread/burger buns are naturally vegan.
I’ve eaten a lot of vegan burgers around Victoria and the rest of the country and never not had a bun. If everywhere else can manage it why can’t they here?
And also, if you’re not going to get one it should clearly say on the menu or you should be told when ordering. I would never have ordered it if I’d known.
I again do not recommend coming here if you’re vegan.

Not sure why others have given bad reviews. Other than the prices being slightly high ( like everywhere) the quantity and quality were Very good. My friend and I enjoyed quick, polite service and had plenty of food to bring home and enjoy. I would recommend and will be going again.

Good Friday I stopped at the Sawmill Taphouse and Grill in Langford because I was Hangry riding my bike!! I love riding, but today I needed food so while riding to Thrifty’s, I saw this restaurant. I wasn’t sure I could wait for food, but I had my Cod Seared Power Bowl. It was delicious! And TESSA could see that I was in need of food! I didn’t want the tuna poke, but she asked the chef if I could have the Seared Cod! It came within 15 minutes or even sooner!!! I seriously love Tessa!!! I will be back! Sorry no photos! I ate it far too quick! Deb in Shawnigan Lake!!!

Service started great ans then it was almost as though we'd been forgotten. Food took over 30 mins to come out and had to ask for our own water to be topped up. Fish tacos were yummy but corn tortillas just don't hold up, flour would have been better. Also didn't come with a side which is odd, had to pay extra for sides. Pizzas were alright as described by others dining with me.

Ok so food is fine, drinks are fine, waitresses are friendly BUT it is A L W A Y S so slow. Empty, yet very slow. We always come here after the Wild Play, always with kids, and it just honestly almost not worth it. They need to figure it out, all reviews are the same - service is too long.

Wings are also too dry.
