Cher, sale drôle d'odeur et pour couronner le tout une paire de petite culotte sur le sol... À 200$ la nuit vraiment mediocre. Propriétaire mal poli et qui ne veut pas nous dédommager.

My sister and I have stayed at many accommodations on our travels around the world and have never experienced such poor customer service as we did at this motel. We stayed in high season and it was one of the cheaper options that looked clean with a good location in Tofino. ||When we arrived we were informed we’d be charged a few hundred dollars if we connected our phone to the tv in our room? So odd and that was the first red flag. There was a strange substance clogging the locks on the doors so it automatically locked when the door was closed. The rooms were musty with no A/C so most occupants sat outside their rooms until it was necessary to sleep. One evening my sister and I had the door lock on us while sitting outside. ||No one was at the front desk and when we called the number provided, the caretaker came and was irate that he had to come unlock our door. I’ve never experienced such rudeness from someone in the hospitality business before. Being a Canadian, I feel embarrassed that other travellers from around the world who are visiting the beautiful area of Tofino might experience this type of poor hospitality while visiting this popular area in Canada.

Terrible Service and Terrible Hospitality. I have booked a room for my parents and we got hammered. They just talk nicely to get the booking and then they deny everything they promise. Strongly not recommended at all.

Not a good experience at Schooner. When I arrived and was given my key the minute I walked into my room I found bugs in the fridge and the bathtub. On the bed were (what I think to be) urine stains. And underneath when I lifted the bed I found a ton of stains. It didn’t look like they cleaned the bathtub either because I found fresh hair clippings.

I accidentally locked myself out of my room one night, and unfortunately, there was no clear way to contact anyone for help. I waited outside the office for about 10 minutes before an older man finally answered the door. When I explained the situation, his first response was that I would have to sleep in my car, which was both confusing and concerning. After I clarified, he reluctantly asked for my room number and let me back in. Overall, if you plan to stay here, be aware that getting locked out after 8 p.m. could be a major inconvenience.

Booked an online reservation and have been waiting nearly 2 hours for someone to open the front office and help me. The reservation is the full room amount plus fees and is non refundable. I called the phone number posted on the motel wall to no avail and when calling the reservation line there is also no human to speak with. I'm not sure what is going on. I am definitely extremely dissatisfied. Will never come back or recommend to others.

The room was very cozy and clean. The location is fabulous. I love the common balcony outside the rooms where you can enjoy your coffee or drinks. I had a bit of an issue with the shower, but the owner/manager was very responsive, attended to it right away and fixed the issue. Coin laundry and parking is also very convenient. Every morning at 8 am the hotel staff brews fresh coffee for their guests in the coffee room near the office so that is a really nice touch. All in all a good experience without any hiccups.
