The restaurant here has such good food! I was extremely impressed. I are there 4 times in 3 days even though I brought food. I also always take pictures of my food to post and not one photo did I get ... Why? Because it looked so good and tasted amazing I started eating right away.
This is worth the drive and highly recommend!

Get the elk spring rolls they are to die for!!!

I'll definitely come back, what a great spot for events!!

We went there to check out the venue area, considering an upcoming event.
We enjoyed the Sunday breakfast buffet, the food was tasty and had enough of a variety.
We loved the venue space available.
The outdoor space is lovely with a beautiful fire pit and nice view of the lake.
We were fortunate enough to have a look inside the recently updated hotel rooms.
With a short walk through the trees we observed the cozy cabins available for rent.
The grounds also cater to tent and RV camping... everything all in one place.
We were given some information on options for our event.
We loved it there, can't wait to go back.

We just returned from a two day getaway at Schott’s Lake to meet with family. It was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was such a quiet and peaceful place. We stayed in the motel. The rooms were clean, comfy and had all that we needed. We especially enjoyed sitting outside our rooms on the spacious veranda to visit and spend time together. We wandered the grounds admiring the scenery and taking photos and were lucky enough to get a reservation at their gourmet restaurant for supper. The food was amazing. All six of us ordered different meals and all of them were delicious. I chose the Arctic char. It was amazing! Hats off to the chef. I loved it! I would definately recommend this place to those who are seeking peace, solitude and amazing gourmet meals.

Great location, cozy motel rooms and gorgeous lake & restaurant. Overall we were very happy with the experience here and would definitely come back to stay again. A lot of effort has gone into the accommodations, camping grounds and lakefront area and it really shows. A bit disappointed with the dinner meals at the restaurant to be honest - small serving sizes and both main dishes were quite simple/bland. Service and drinks were fantastic but for the price of the food compared to what you get it just wasn't quite what we expected. Hope this changes as it has such great potential!

We went for lunch to The Kitchen. We were able to sit outside on the patio, with a lovely view of the lake. No bugs. It was pleasant. ||I had an Elk Burger and my wife had a BLT. Both were delicious but my burger was Top Notch, one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Worth the drive.

Just finished a sensational meal at the Kitchen. Caesar salad, superb, prep’s at the table by Chef Chris. Delicious, well balanced dressing to salad ratio. This was followed by an exquisite meal, custom ordered and graciously served by Chef. Chateaubriand with Hunter sauce (to die for) seasonal vegetables with hollandaise and scrumptious mashed potatoes. All beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. It is decidedly worth the drive to this gem, off the beaten track

We visited with family, booking both the motel and lakeside cottage for a long weekend, and we had a fantastic time! The cabin was adorable, and the picnic table and fire pit area overlooked the lake. The porch area was much larger than it seemed. Water was refilled the next day for us, and wood was delivered right beside our fire pit, which was a plus! The outhouse was clean and only steps away from the front entrance. Our family members staying in the motel also had great things to say about their room and the property in general.

The restaurant was a very short walk away from both the cabins and the motel. Although we didn’t have time to eat there, the menu we were given looked great! It also looked like they were adding in some other activities for guests to enjoy in the future. It was gated at night with security, which made it feel safer. We got lucky on our first night and got to see the northern lights over the lake, which was just beautiful! We would definitely come back here!

Stayed in motel rm.7 for our 25th wedding anniversary. Had dinner reservation for 6pm. On arrival discovered that there is no front desk. Checkin is at the restaurant. The room itself was just ok. No a/c and it was 29 celcius outside so we knew we were in for a warm night. Went to the "Kitchen" for 6pm and were seated right away and then forgotten about. 20 minutes before our server took our drink order and another 15 minutes to get our Sangria which had not fruit or berries in it. It was not sangria, tasted like lemonade. The server apologized that they were out of berries but then why did she serve it? Dinner took an hour and although the food was delicious it took far too long. We don't blame the lone waitress, she was almost running between tables but she was forced to ignore us until she got caught up. All glassware had a thick film on it. I would have been embarrassed to serve drinks in it. We would not stay at the motel again as our TV had been disconnected and there was no one around to help. We might give the restaurant another try as the food was that good.
