Our stay with Terri & Dave was perfect! My husband and I absolutely loved our stay with them. Everything about this place was perfect for us: very quiet, on a farm with lovely animals, a good distance between crowds of people, had our own space to enjoy each others company.

Not to mention Ralph, the ginger kitty AKA the general manager made sure our stay was perfect 🙂

Definitely coming back! Loved it!

Although we only spent one night, our host Terri was great! Yes The location is a little off the beaten track but don't let that detract visiting, sometimes that is the best, a little escape so to speak. We enjoyed a quiet evening, lots of sights, peace and quiet, complete with a starry night. The decor, the more than adequate sitting area, and a very comfortable bed with full privacy was just what we needed after a few days touring around the island's tourist locations. Highly recommend and hopefully we can visit again. And the breakfast topped off our stay. Thanks!! Len & Deb

Personally, I'd call the location 5-star as well, but it's worth noting for people, it's about a 20 minute drive once you turn on to Kept Head. It's 35-45 minutes to the nearest gas station depending on where you go. Nothing in Cape Breton is crazy far away (as someone coming from Ontario, anyway) so this mattered very little to us. By the end of our week, it just felt like "coming down the driveway".

The farm is beautiful, the pets are friendly, the area is secluded, the beds are comfy, and your host makes you feel like you're home.

Highly recommend!!!

We had a lovely overnight stay, June 19th. 2 sitting areas + outside screened in porch. Lovely bedrooms and a water view. Terri was a lovely hostess and she was helpful with information before we arrived. Dog friendly! Free to roam inside and leashed outside. The location is out of the way with the advantage being quiet and very relaxing.

Terri is a wonderful host. Her beautiful farm and country home boast a clean and comfortable environment to relax while in Cape Breton (not to mention the breakfast was fresh & tasty ?)
It was a pleasure staying here and hope to have to opportunity to do so again in the future.

A lovely Kempt Head bed-and-breakfast about 45 km away from Baddeck off the Cabot Trail. A very casual rural setting awaits, with a friendly menagerie of two dogs, a cat, a llama, sheep, and two beautiful horses. The two bedrooms and shared bathroom were very well decorated and very clean. The intimate living room and dining room downstairs were ours to use. TERRI, our host, was very welcoming, and prepared a lovely & healthy country breakfast. Quiet, rural, casual this B&B offered our party of four a very friendly, inviting East Coast Cape Breton experience. June 2023
