L'entrée du site est un peu en retrait et pas particulièrement accueillante, mais les petits studios de part et d’autre du chemin, sont jolis et dans un très bon état.|L’accueil est très sympathique|Le petit studio est bien agencé, avec un four frigo, micro-onde. C’est propre et en état.|La salle de bain est fonctionnelle, bien éclairée.|Devant chaque logis, se trouve une petite terrasse avec des chaises.|le site accueille aussi des RV |La piscine est très peu profonde sur la plus grande partie avec un endroit plus profond.|Un petit nettoyage de l’herbe aux abords, serait la bienvenue.|Des serviettes de bain sont proposées gratuitement.|Le Wifi fonctionne parfaitement|La nuit est calme, pas de bruit.|Un endroit très agréable pour découvrir le bord de l'océan particulièrement bien aménagé à quelques pas de Somass Hotel.|Bon souvenir de cette halte.|

nous avons passé 2 nuits au Somass Motel en juin avec 2 enfants (3 et 5 ans). Reservation par mel depuis la France sans probleme. Bon accueil et les pièces étaint popres et fonctionnelles. La cuisine contient un frigo, plaque de cuisson, four, four à micro ondes et cafetières avec dosettes de café fournies. Nuits calmes. Possibilité d'aller dans quelques restaurants à pieds. A 5 min de voiture du lady marine rose cruise et du alberni steam railway.

Bonne halte dans ce motel pour couper la route entre Tofino et Victoria.||Lits confortables et grand calme dans la nuit.||Patronne sympa, qui donne de bons conseils pour les restaurants.||On a choisi de Pescadores et on a bien aimé la cuisine et l'ambiance.||||Un conseil : allez le matin pour le petit déjeuner à la Bakery, à gauche dans la rue qui prend au 1er feu à droite à partir de l'avenue partant du carrefour du Pescadores vers la côte Est. Passez chez le Pawnbroker qui se trouve à côté de la boulangerie. Vous trouverez pour pas cher de nombreux objets locaux, quelques dessins authentiques et bijoux "First Nations". En plus le patron est sympa !

The motel is very convenient to shops and restaurants, the rooms are huge and clean. The owner, Julie, is very kind and easy to deal with. When Highway 4 had a closure, we had nowhere to go as all the hotels were booked solid; Julie gave us a room for the night. Thank you, Julie, for your kindness!

Had a quick stopover in Port Alberni and picked the Somass. Great choice! Very clean and bright room with many mirrors so I could get ready while hubby was in the shower. Liked the full sized kitchen with hot plate, would have been fun if we had been staying longer, it was a bit cold in the bathroom when we first arrived but warmed up after turning the heat on, might have been something wrong with the register in our room, not a huge deal as we were on and out. The bed was super comfortable omg didn't want to get up! Very nice for an older motel, will keep in mind if we come back this way in the summer. 🙂

A few tidy, level, graveled spots. Ours had electric and water. A couple had dumps too. The rest of this place is small cabin motel rooms. Everything seems pretty well kept up. There is one bathroom and shower, which means if someone is showering you aren’t going to be able to use the bathroom. The shower is small and the hot water is not abundant but it’s adequate. small outdoor pool that looked clean. Staff was friendly.

For a motel I give it five stars. Clean, well laid out decent size room and quiet. Parking in front of the door. Decent sized fridge. They also have a few larger units probably two bedrooms that were booked. Pool looked good though did not swim. RV area tucked in behind trees is a nice spot with picknick tables. I would stay again and can recommend.

This small motel is always reliable solution for all my last minute needs when I am on Vancouver Island. They are fully equipped to make your stay under your control all the time. The place is well organized, clean and cozy. All amenities are in place and Motel is perfectly positioned for all your needs when you stay in port Alberni. To me very, very important detail> they are not only pet friendly, they love pets!
