This motel is older and could use some new carpet, but other than that, it is fine. Clean rooms, Clean linens, comfy beds, Microwave, hot plates, coffee maker, kitchenette, and best of all - new fixtures in the bathroom. ||||I travel a lot for business and am always on the look out for inexpensive accomodations, afterall, I am not on vacation. The Southsider is a motel that I consider a terrific find. I've stayed there a few times now, and every room is clean. I am never disappointed. It is quiet at night with no traffic sounds as the motel is tucked away from the road. Next door is a convenience store and gas station which is very handy.||||The owner/staff run the convenience store as well, and they are very accomodating. I was favourably impressed when they remembered my name by my second visit. I plan on being a regular guest at this motel for the summer, as it is clean, comfortable and obviously well managed. I highly recommend this motel to any business travellers who frequents Kincardine.||||My only complaint would be that the carpet needs replacing and they need to add hair dryers to the rooms. Not much to complain about for the best price in town! Other local motels charge more but don't deliver more. This place is a keeper.

Clean, comfortable albeit modest rooms. As long as you are not looking for anything too fancy, i was very comfortable and enjoyed my stay at the Southsider Motel. The staff and owners are very friendly and accommodating. I found it to be both reasonable and affordable. i would definitely stay here again.

The room I stayed in was alright. The bed was comfortable, the room over all was pretty clean and the area is rather quiet on a Sunday night. The bathroom had soap provided but no shampoo which wasn't a problem as I had brought my own to use.

Looked for a cheap place for a night. The motel rooms are made up of month-renters and weekend-renters. Carpets and floors were dirty or sticky. Windows were brand new. Beds were ok. The place needs a lot of updating, but I think the owners are content with the state of repair and regular clientele. If you need to crash and don't care about what your staying in. This place is perfect.

A bit old and tired, but is being painted etc. Price is right, clean, good shower and the samosas at the garage are great. Not fancy but clean and cheap, we will go back. Close to the beach and pubs. Going back in a couple of weeks so can't be too bad.

Four parties made reservation to stay for a local fastball tournament, when we arrived they only had three rooms. The three parties checked in were given room keys. Went to our rooms and concerned with the clientele sitting on chairs outside the other rooms. In talking over dinner discovered we had been charged different rates for same type of rooms. Employee later approached us about mistake they had made in our charge and we owed over 100 dollars more. When I went to office which is in gas station next door he was unable to find documentation. Later for a call that they would be charging my friends visa for what was a shortfall on my bill. Should be called Bates Motel "STAY AWAY"

Tiny cheap and zen, excellent for a pass through, no extra's no frills, just what's needed for a good rest, however if a walkabout is in your itinerary, you might get a glimps of the great lake in behind it which reveals Kincardine's actual beauty!

The staff are great folks. It has older rooms and would be the economical choice if you were to stay here in kincardine most places are not cheap.
