Hats off to the staff!! Kind, courteous, knowledgeable and just all 'round nice folks to deal with. Rented a knee scooter for 2 months recovering from surgery from Southward, really made all the difference in getting to and from medical appts and errands on my own. They met my needs perfectly and I wouldnt hesitate to highly recommend this outfit 100%

Was in the store today picking up hubby's scooter after some repairs. These guys are amazing fast, so friendly and understanding, they know their products and are most obliging. I was so surprised at the repair cost, way below what we had expected. My Mum also bought her walker there and she just loves it. and that was also a good price. We would like to express our thanks to Southwards Medical! We are so fortunate in Vernon to have such a great business with such caring staff! We fortunately haven’t needed to shop there ourselves! Thank you Barb !
I went in with my brother in law today who has Cerebral palsy, he was very reluctant to get a cane or any sort of walking help and I wanted him to get a walker after he fell and hurt himself.
We were able to try different canes and better yet able to try a walker and they built the right size for us as one had just sold right while we waited.
When he was a bit fussy about the height they took the time and changed the height and size for him I was so nervous we might be leaving with nothing and still struggling to walk as he is particular as he didn’t want it to begin with.
She made sure to tell us if something needs to be changed about it to bring it in and they will do it right there.

What a friendly, great bunch! Super helpful too. Went in to see if they could replace a wheel on a walker for my husband. They were super quick and only charged for the wheel. Will definitely go back for anything we need. Thank Mark for all your help. 😀

I must say that the staff at Southward Medical Supplies are 110 % better than the other medical supply store here in Vernon. The staff are friendly, kind and caring and very knowledgeable. Its nice to know we can go to this store and be treated like family. So very nice that the staff really take care of our health and well being. Thank you so very much!

My aunt purchased a specialized chair (XXL chair similar to a lazy boy that lifts a person up and forward to assist them out of the chair). She had it for a week before she died. I called and talked to Mark to ask if it could be returned. He said there's nothing they can do as it's now considered used. I then phoned back the following week and asked to speak to the manager Brittney. She said it was a specialized chair so if they sent it back there was a 30 or 35% restocking fee (which would have been fine with me as chair cost over $3000), I asked if they could sell it and she said because it was a custom chair she doubted it would sell quickly and they would also charge 35% commission. She then told me to leave it with her to think about and that she would get back to me. Haven't heard from her since.
My suggestion to whoever is considering buying from here to make sure you ask about their return policy and get it in writing!!!

Sincerely helpful staff! I was in recently looking for something to better fit my grandma, and they went above and beyond trying to help me. Which resulted in them providing me with a free sample, one they chased me down outside the store to provide to me.
