Basic room, affordable price. Stayed here for a few nights, the room had all the basics nothing fancy. Older TV, tiny fridge, microwave. Beds were actually comfortable. Unfortunately when I went to check-in, I was greeted nicely by someone who went to grab the paperwork from the back. They then left it with the bar staff who puttered around behind the bar. Three of them ignored me for at least fifteen minutes. I asked about closing times for the kitchen, to which they informed me it would be in about an hour, didn't ask me if I wanted anything and carried on. I sat at the bar waiting, waiting, waiting. Eventually I asked for a soda but in a to-go cup if possible because I didn't want to waste it when I had to go; I was told they didn't have any take out cups. In my opinion, in that moment the hospitable thing to do would be to just offer me a small glass of soda, juice, water etc. (literally anything) on the house.....I had travelled all day, was tired, hungry and thirsty.... Finally the first person returned, bewildered that I was still sitting there. They showed me my invoice to sign, gave me the keys, told me if I had any concerns to call them. To which I replied I likely wouldn't because I don't even get acknowledged in there. The young woman was apologetic but it really wasn't her fault. The top security lock was broken on the hotel room door, and somehow was pushed back on to provide the appearance it was functional. Unfortunately it meant we couldn't shower with a toddler who can reach the door handle and potentially run out. When I went to talk to the bar staff about it at check out, and tell them exactly that, I was met with a shrug and disregard, and told that they commonly break. Long story short, the rooms are okay and it's pretty affordable, unfortunately it was the attitudes I was met with that made my experience poor and I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone because of it. I stayed out of necessity.

The street that the Sportsman Inn is on is one way, and the GPS doesn't know this, so you have to drive around the block. Go to the clearly identified lobby to be greeted by a sign that says the lobby is closed and you need to check in at the pub. Another trip around the block to get there because of the one way street. No one paying any attention at the bar, so I wander around until I find an employee. I sign some paperwork and she hands me the keys. 4:00 pm and the room isn't ready, so we head up town for an hour.|Room was clean enough. Bedding and towels were clean. But the bathroom was suffering from neglect! Mold growing all along the back wall in the damaged caulking. Toilet paper roll sitting on the sink because the paper holder didn't have a bar. One miniature bar of soap. The furniture in the room was ultra cheap, tops all blistered and particleboard swollen from being wet for a long time.| We won't be back! Other motels in town are much better for a similar rate. Being on the edge of the beach is nice, but not when the furniture is so run down and the bathroom so grungy.

Location not to bad, on the harbourside, restaurants, pub, supermarket nearby.
Think they put all the european travellers in room no. 1. It is located in the McNeills not in Sportsmanns. The room is small and worn-out. Torn bett sheet, wobbly toilet, unpleasant smell.
If they were clever they would put travellers in another room, even they have vacancy. The room beside us was bigger and as shown on the pictures, and free. Pets aren't allowed, but there was a dog barking the whole time in the room above us... Lot of traffic in the morning because there is a coffeeshop beside.

„ Achtung“ Sturzgefahr. 2 in Worten zwei Kleiderbügel! Niemand da um die Mängel anzusprechen. Die Kellnerinnen im Pub sind am Getränkeverkauf interessiert nicht an Hotelgästen.

Not able to keep up with service. They must struggle to find staff. Everything was the slowest I've seen, even compared to Mexico time. Don't go there hungry, but you will, since you have no options. Anything will taste good by the time they serve you.
Pro tip, let the kids go to the beach to find shore crabs will you wait.

Comfortable, well equipped room right at the Harbour. We were in room 10. Housekeeping is minimal. Good options for dinner are a two minute walk away. The rooms are a little odd with just one window that doesn't open. They supply a good fan which helps. We stayed here for 4 nights and would return.

Nice rooms at a reasonable price. Our room had a view over the marina and on a clear day to the rockies on the mainland. The room itself was clean and had a separate living room from the bedroom. Avoid room 7 as there is a ventilation duct attached to it's outside wall which will cause loud vibration noises in the room. Restaurant downstairs was really good.
