Room was good but Noise was a big issue for me.

Overall the hotel is a great place to stay. Beds were nice and soft rooms was clean and had AC and the bathrooms showers were nice, hot and clean.

The biggest issue I had with this place was the noise. The two nights I stayed here I wasn’t able to sleep until 11-12 o’clock due to noise coming from the bar and the town fair. Which is odd because I believe there’s a 10pm quiet time. So overall the service and rooms was nice but I’m someone who needs a lot of sleep so I wouldn’t recommend if your a light sleeper or can’t sleep with noise.

Nice, clean and cosy. Not easy to locate the front entrance to reception. Shanghai restaurant next door with menu in the room. Good idea. Secured wifi and free parking. No microwave oven in room. Furnishings looks new. Good sized room with coffee maker. Quiet place.

This review is similar to others. While the hotel has been renovated, the room had a smell akin to unwashed laundry. The bathroom was very clean, the bedding was stained as others have commented. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt that it had been washed and the stains just didn’t come out, but they really should just throw that bedding out as it makes for a terrible customer experience. We slept in the other bed that didn’t have stains - it was late and we didn’t have time to look for somewhere else. The other thing is the noise. Despite the hotel appearing to be very empty (there were only 3 other cars in the lot), they put someone in the room beside us who was a loud talker. We could hear her over the TV so the walls are not very soundproof. When you have a bunch of empty rooms, why not space customers out to avoid this? The bar on the main floor had karaoke, and we could hear that in our room despite being a floor up. Not crazy loud but enough that you knew the song. Yet the hotel has signs that say it’s quiet time after 10pm. The bar closed at midnight. We were both sick with a cold and it would have been nice to be able to get to bed earlier.

This hotel has potential but they need to get the basic things right. Having updated rooms and baths does not make up for stained bedding and noise. I’ll take a dated but clean hotel room over this any day.

Clean, modern room. Had everything we needed and was in a central place for exploring the area. The hotel has been recently renovated and was clean, comfortable and quiet. We felt safe there and checked out local attractions, hiking, and whale watching.

First, the place smells, from lobby to the room.
Second, there’s no latch on the door. Someone has our key and trying to get in our room around 9:30pm while we were already in bed. Luckily I had something blocking the door. We called the front desk and we were told that we were given the wrong key.
We barely slept that night because we were not sure if someone else will try to get in again.
Third, poorly sound proofed.
We can hear people next door talking, and we can hear their phone vibrating. We tried to call front desk around 11:30pm but there’s no answer.
Next morning, we can hear next door’s alarm going off.
The good part about this place: first, right in front of a playground. Second, it’s newly furnished.

What a difference the renovations have made - I was very impressed - I had a good meal at the restaurant and later enjoyed a drink in the hotel bar and my room was great. Brand new Chiropractic mattresses, very comfy! Nice deep bathtub so I could have a good soak after a long day on the road.||The service was friendly and helpful.||Next time I'm in town on business I'll be booking again!

It's definitely a 2 star hotel. From some of the reviews I thought it was better than it was and the two star rating wrong. Unfortunately we were in the basement, under the bar, all you could hear were foot stomping, hooting, and bar stools scraping on the floor. The rooms were clean, the bathroom is nice, but bring ear plugs.
