Do not waste your money at the Stone Gate Inn. We paid nearly $300 for what was supposed to be an “air-conditioned suite,” and ended up in a sauna-like room with no working A/C and a pathetic, broken pedestal fan. It was over 92°F in the room, and the thermostat was useless. When we brought this up to staff, they were too busy devouring 12 pizzas behind the front desk to care. Yes, seriously — we stood there melting while they stuffed their faces.
After over an hour and a half (despite being promised a 15-minute fix), they moved us to another suite, which was somehow just as bad. The whole place is filthy and outdated. The carpets were stained, the beds were stained, and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The bathtub had black grime as if someone walked through the parking lot barefoot and rinsed their feet off in there — absolutely disgusting. The toilet was just as filthy. There is no way they cleaned that room before we arrived, despite their empty reassurances.
The "amenities" were a joke. For a suite meant for two people, we got one of everything: one towel, one coffee pod, one soap — as if they expected us to share everything. And don't get me started on the so-called “breakfast.” The muffins were hard as rocks — I literally broke a crown biting into one. No hot water for tea, just a sad stack of teabags sitting next to a cold kettle.
The pool? Laughable. It's tiny, and although it says there's a deep end, there isn’t one. Everything in this hotel is either broken, dirty, or false advertising.
This place is ridiculously overpriced for what you get — it wouldn’t be worth half the cost. I will never stay here again, and I will make sure that no one I know ever books a night at this disaster of a hotel.
