Nous avons été super bien reçu. Une belle expérience de la vie de bateau que je vous conseil de vivre à votre tour. Le déjeuner était très bon et agrémenté du saumon pêché et fumé par le propriétaire.

This was an amazing 'win'!
I had the good luck to have a week of roadtripping with my 75-year-old mother and her best friend. I wasn't sure if a boat would be the best fit, as they both have some mobility impairments, but they seemed ready for an ADVENTURE!

Dan and his close family crew were AMAZING. The experience was BETTER THAN AWESOME, and this group gets 5-stars from us all around. The service and support for our needs was excellent. The food was truly spectacular. They spent time to connect with each of us.

The Swept Away crew is clearly good at what they do, and they're in this for the long run. They know how to run this B&B well.

FOOD WAS AWESOME! Communication was prompt. Their booking software is excellent. The stay was exciting! Great memories, amazing photographs. Perfect memories!

We all highly recommend Swept Away.

We had a really great time at Swept Away Inn. The room is small but worth the experience ! The owners really nice and welcoming. We had a self made Moroccan breakfast ! Delicious!

I loved staying here. It has everything you'd expect from a good hotel--clean, quiet, efficient, thoughtful touches in terms of decor and amenities--but what makes it so wonderful is what a one-of-a-kind experience it is. You get to sleep on a boat--not a cruise ship boat, but what was once an actual working boat--that's been lovingly restored to retain as much of the character of the boat as possible and is moored at a wharf in a great location. Your hosts--Daniel and Bouchra--are warm, funny, knowledgeable, and seemingly always available without being obvious about it. The room was tiny--in keeping with the kind of working boat this was--but there was more than enough space for belongings in terms of thoughtfully placed drawers and shelving, and in terms of us, the guests, on the various decks and lounges located throughout the vessel. Bouchra is a fabulous cook. Breakfast was delicious and filling. But she also gives great advice. We had a couple of hours to kill before check-in, and she sent us to Stamp River Provincial Park where we got to see hundreds of migrating salmon and (from a very safe distance) two beautiful black bears. This hotel might not be for everyone--there are stairs to navigate (you will sleep in a bunk bed), and if you're the kind of person who needs a lot of space and likes to keep to themselves when traveling, this might not suit you. But if you're an intrepid traveler on the lookout for a really unique experience, do not hesitate--you will love it, too.

All my messages later and still no reply from owners. Stay away from this nightmare of a hotel.

This place is not worth the 1 star Google forced me to give. Been trying to reach to reach owners for months and they don’t answer messages or calls.

Worst experience of my life was staying on this boat with those rude owners.

Don’t waste your money going to this place. Owners are rude, they make promises they can’t deliver on. There is nothing in the area. The boat itself feels like your in a prison cell. Rooms are small and dirty. There is no lock on doors so anyone can walk in, no screens on windows and had to sleep all night with window open. Not to mention it’s a shared shower and bathroom for 5 rooms. Felt like I was in swingers club with all these people walking from bathroom to their rooms with just a towel. When I tried to work on my laptop in common area at 10pm was told by owner to go back to my room.

I’m currently filling a consumer protection act against this hotel for charging me two nights when we only stayed one night. Terrible hotel and can’t believe they are still open.

Where to start. There was a foot gap between the dock and the edge of the boat. Really bad for anyone with poor balance. ||There was no flexibility in checking in early. The reason given was that they had to clean the rooms of 14 people. We sat at a restaurant beside the tug and saw only one person on the boat and she was cooking. There was no movement or presence of cleaning staff. ||Once we got on, we thought we could sit in the lounge and relax but the owner sat in the room with us. Creepy. ||The washrooms were so small I had to sit sideways. The toilet paper was on the floor instead of a holder. I didn’t bother looking in the shower. There were dirty towels in the shared bathroom. There was a paper towel dispenser which would have been more hygienic but it wasn’t being used. ||The room had two hard bunk beds. The dimensions were 7’x5’x7’. We had a tiny sink. There was one outlet on the wall opposite the beds so we had to have our cords dangling via the ceiling to get to the beds. To go to the bathroom (outside the room) I felt like I was walking through spider webs. There were 2 portholes that looked directly onto the dock, and no coverings for them (no privacy at all). I attempted to drape our only towels over them to give privacy and block the morning light but they kept falling. There was no way to lock the door on the room. I felt extremely unsafe. ||It was noisy much past my bedtime. I wore high quality earplugs and had a sleep mask with speakers and quiet music on top of them. I could still hear people talking, laughing and not caring. I could hear the surrounding rooms snoring. The next room had a dog that kept whimpering. ||We stayed there because of the close location to the bamfield boat. But catching the boat at 0745 meant we couldn’t enjoy the breakfast. There was no flexibility in getting a discount because we were missing breakfast. However, we were charged for the beer and juice that we bought when we got on the boat. ||And lastly, the cook was starting to cook breakfast at 0600. Right outside our room. It was noisy. ||I cannot recommend staying here.

If I could I would give foe the service more stars. The couple who operates and owns the boat does an amazing job. They love what they do and it shows. We stayed only one night but it was amazing. The breakfast was phenomenal. It is a must to try when you are in Port Alberni. They opened a restaurant recently where you can try the great Moroccon cuisine.
Thank you for your hospitality!
