The Taber safe haven was OUR safe haven. This shelter literally saved us. A few of the staff especially Cheryl, Dere and Jen were angels to us, they treated us so nicely and we trusted them. They are definitely in the right line of work. I'm so glad we were able to stay here as we had nowhere else to go. I kind of miss Taber. Watch out for the food if any of these 3 ladies are cooking at all. It's so good. I gained so much weight at the Taber safe haven. Thanks so much for being a part of our journey girls!

Came home from vacation to find out that you evicted my daughter from this shelter, because she brought her 7 year old daughter there? WHY. My son had to pick up my granddaughter, leaving my traumatized daughter to fend for herself on the street with a bunch of bags, all that she owns. Luckily, she found the Police department, and got some help.

You get paid. Do better.

The staff was delightful. I felt safe until I left. There was a girl there I will not refer her as a woman now she is cyberbullying me. I called the center and made a complaint but obviously nothing will happen. At the end of the day I will still say a prayer for you and your kids that you find a place and you get yourself situated you are one unfortunate soul.

Food is atrocious and the place is disgustingly dirty! And double standards happen here! They seem to wanna help some women but others it seems like pulling teeth! I was made to cry for cleaning up an area that wasnt touched by staff for 2 weeks! I mean cups behind bunk beds and wrappers! Filthy clothes littered all over the downstairs bedroom! Their donation room when I got here was disgusting! Which some client cleaned up herself! I noticed the downstairs bedroom has a needle dispensary box that is disgustingly full! Makes you wanna puke! I’m thinking how many diseased woman have thrown their needles in there?!?! I definitely when and if I ever need to run from my abusive situation again I’ll never come here! I have felt like a pos time and time again! Oh and they threw out all my stuff after I phoned and gave an update as to where I was she told me she was throw my stuff out if I hadn’t phones that day as they were doing renovations! So I said please do not do that I can meet you Monday with the other shelter I’m staying at! I phoned after the weekend on Monday and they threw out my stuff and my baby pics!

Kind, considerate, knowledgeable, supportive, can't say enough about how much support I received and how professional. The workers won't let me but I would hug every one of them. These women can not stop the abuse from a neighbor at the trailer park but at least I have been safe for a while. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

all I have to say about safe haven is that they really did not help me at all and they made me leave the shelter because some one in my room was shearing her medication with another woman in my room

The staff are wonderful, caring people. They truly do care about the women who are there. They will literally bend over backwards if that would help.
