It was our first time here and requested the server to recommend us the best seller drinks and appies. For drinks, I had the Strawberry Sunshine and my husband got the Beer Flight which was their beer sampler. We had the Crispy Thai Chicken and the House Spiced Wings. Food was flavourful and well presented. I enjoyed the sliced veggie coin garnishes on top of the Crispy Thai Chicken, together with the sauce, it has the perfect taste and texture combo in every bite. I really enjoyed the cocktail and had two 😊 Will definitely be back to try the other items on their menu. The place had a nice interior too. Special thanks to our server Tawnee.

Too many recommendations on social media bought us here. The environment was too loud and noisy as well as annoying. The chairs were the most uncomfortable ones I have ever sat on, and there were some of the picnic tables that you can find in parks. This was below our expectations and mediocre. I wonder if the people on social media who recommend this place get discounts 🤔

The service was slow, and food was lower than average. I wouldn't be coming back. People might come for beers, but food is not worth mentioning.

A local favourite that never disappoints! Service is always great. Good food and drinks.

Baked Brie - absolutely delicious! You definitely get more sweetness from the apple jam and honey. I couldn’t taste the sundried tomatoes too much. 9/10

Filthy fries - generous portion of fries that is full of a stronger onion flavour 8/10

Crispy Thai chicken - was not expecting this to be so full of flavour. Highly recommend 10/10

Prawn tacos - very messy, there was so much sauce that our tacos kept breaking. Strong tastes of feta 6/10

Meatballs - tasted dry and needed more fat. The arribiata sauce is a good addition 6/10

Smoked brisket sandwich - the brisket was tender and juicy, with a decent amount of smoky flavour, good balance of sauce and seasoning 7/10

Overall they have a great selection and variety of food. All of their spirits and alcohol are locally sourced. The Root Beer cider is a must try!!

We have been multiple times! There's lots of seating! Great ambiance! Always great service! The food options are different and fun! Salad to burgers, pasta to desert. Everything I've had is good!

First time at Barley Merchant, food was amazing. They almost have 50 taps for beers, so many options to try for craft breweries. Service was amazing and they were packed but everything came out promptly. Will be back with friends.

Glad to find a place with many gluten free options available. They actually take food allergies very seriously and have proper protocols in place to prevent cross contamination. The food is really good and they have a wide variety of drinks as well. Thanks for being very mindful of people with dietary restrictions.

My sister has celiacs disease and was pleasantly surprised when she realized there was quite a few gluten free options here.
The staff were all pretty knowledgeable on the caution of cross contamination for celiacs and the fryers were all dedicated gluten free fryers.
The food was great, would come again.
The front door did not have an accessible button and the bathroom had one accessible stall but only a push door to enter the toilets.

A lovely brewery restaurant. Food quality above average. Definitely better than the usual pub food. We had great service with Arthur. Good quality coffee beans used. The Heirloom Spaghetti was very tasty and flavourful. This place has passion.
