The Cravery is perfectly named. I had brunch there and it’s only been a day and I’m already salivating to go back. There were so many options I wanted to try. The smell of the bacon being cooked made it hard to focus. I wanted everything. I ordered the Nashville chicken and French toast. The blend of hot, spicy, sweet was an amazing combination. The chicken was so juicy and crispy. The flavours were meant to be together. My friend ordered the breakfast poutine with pulled pork. Also delicious. The portions are great, the price is reasonable and the service was genuine. I would highly recommend you try this restaurant I know I’ll be back for sure.

Good is actually so good. I got blueberry lemon lavender stuffed French toast and my boyfriend got the Nashville chicken and French toast. TO DIE FOR.

Though pretty in appearance, it was not a good experience. First thing the food. Way too salty gravy. The poutine had almost no brisket or cheese. It was just fries and gravy. I admit the fries were good but was killed by the super salty gravy. As for the second meal, the chili soup was watery, and the sandwich was so strong in liquid smoke taste you couldn't enjoy the beef brisket. Then there was the usanitary food practices... it's an open kitchen so you can see the meal being prepared. No hair nets, no gloves warn so their hands are all over your food, watched one staff member clean out a bowl for soup with a filthy rag, then was dropped on the floor and set back down on the counter top, watched this same guy lift his shirt and scratch his belly...again no gloves are warn so...gross! Then the server who also acts as a bartender I watched her prepare a cocktail that she rimmed the glass with sugar and then reach inside the glass and wipe it with her bare hands. We left without finishing our meal. Disgusting. Someone from food and safety needs to go in and do an inspection.

Came in at noon on Friday for a nice afternoon lunch. It wasn't too busy and the patio was open. It took a bit for the server to notice us when we walked in. Once we were seated with menus we waited for 15 minutes as the server brought water and drinks to all the other tables around us including those who came in after us. We were waiting to order but the server never came. We never got water, never got silverware, the server didn't even check on us if we were ready. It smelled so good but I'll never know. The server ignored us and looked annoyed to be there. We won't be back.

Edit for response:

Yes, of course.

3 of us came in for brunch yesterday. The server first got our drink order wrong- honestly, that’s not a problem at all. It did take a while for the server to come get our order but he seemed overwhelmed. We ordered the little kids breakfast with sausage, and two traditional eggs Benedict - adding a slice of cheese to both Benedict’s. When our food came the little kids breakfast came with bacon, not sausage. We had to ask for that to be corrected, as well ask for cutlery and extra ketchup. The server brought the cutlery, and the sausage and kept forgetting the ketchup so we ended up grabbing some from a different table. Then both myself and my friend cut into our eggs Benedict and there was no meat on any of them. We again had to wait a bit for the server to come back. We told him the issue, he went to the cook who told him there was meat on there. We physically had to show the server there was in fact NO meat on the Benedict. He then again went back to the cook and a conversation took place. Shortly, after the server brought us 3 small pieces of the back bacon (not even the 4 there should have been), and 2 sausages. By this point the food was getting cold and we were just eating it as is. Then myself and my friend cut into the sausage and physically spit it out. They were undercooked and smelt sour. He came back and we told him the issue and he simply just took the plate away.

When the bill came I’m not going to lie I was incredibly disappointed that nothing was compensated for all of the errors. I brought this up to the server and he said “the cook made another sausage and it was fine for him”. Ok that’s fine, but I’m telling you ours were NOT. Either way- between drink orders wrong, every single meal being wrong, lack of service for not even getting condiments, having to ask for cutlery, and zero compassion for a meal that was not enjoyed (at a $65 value) is the reason for the 1 star review.

We wanted to try a new place for lunch and The Cravery did not disappoint. The food was fresh, homemade and delicious. We ordered the Club House with Ceasar salad and the Turkey sandwich with poutine. We will definitely be back again.

We came to Airdrie for a visit with family and they took us to this perfect little spot. So much so that we came back the next day for more! The food was absolutely amazing (the bacon is delicious) and the service both days was spot on. We even ordered dry ribs for our travels home. We have not had a bad meal come out of that kitchen and will definitely be coming back again next visit. Thank you so much for something so good!
