I spent a spring weekend at the Haliburton Post House with a few girlfriends for a much-needed getaway, and it was absolutely wonderful. The cabins were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was great for cooking together, and we made good use of the BBQ. There were lovely touches, like homemade cookies waiting for us when we arrived.||We spent time relaxing on the dock and loved that we had access to kayaks. Somehow, we ran out of time to use the sauna. The property is peaceful and quiet. The internet and cell service were also excellent, which was a relief since two of us had some unexpected work to take care of.||On a previous trip to the area, I had a chance to eat at the restaurant and was so impressed that it became the reason we booked a stay this time. The food and service were fantastic. The same warm and welcoming vibe carried through this entire visit. The staff genuinely care about the guest experience.||Haliburton Post House is a beautiful place. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had dinner at the Post House for our 35 wedding anniversary last weekend and it could not have been any better! The venue, the ambiance, the dining room, the spectacle menu and presentation, and the staff were all 10+. We could not have been happier and more impressed with the entire experience. If you want lakeside fine dining at its best in Haliburton, the Post House is your place! Thank you very much Joel and your amazing team for making our night perfect!

We were surprised with this dinner reservation by my partner’s parents for our 3rd year anniversary celebration. The owners were so accommodating upon arrival. The place has a real “welcome into our home” vibe. Service was top notch and super attentive. They didn’t miss any details. Something memorable: the staff had a printed photo of us on a clear acrylic stand at our table upon arrival that my partners mother had sent in, so cute! The spring tasting menu was absolutely OUTSTANDING. We had 4 delicious courses that were beautifully plated and so fresh and phenomenal. The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanca De Maine was so so so good! All around beautiful ambience overlooking the water, romantic & candlelit. Would totally go back for another delicious meal.

The Post House is a property in Ingoldsby on Lake Kashagawigamog that was underused for a long time.
The new owners did a fantastic job reviving the property! Beautiful grounds, easily accessible all year round!
I have not stayed in any of their cabins because we live close by, but we have enjoyed several dinners in their lovely dining room. The food and service are 5* quality. I would say they should be considered for a Michelin review.
From my perspective the best quality food, served with the utmost care in the area. Haliburton County elevated to a new level.

We had an amazing weekend at this lovely cottage in Haliburton! The setting was peaceful and scenic—perfect for a relaxing escape from the city. The cottage itself was spotless, cozy, and full of charm.||The beds were incredibly comfortable, with lovely cool and crisp sheets. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked with everything we needed to cook full meals. ||We loved spending time by the lake, using the firepit in the evenings, and just soaking up the quiet natural surroundings. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed.||Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Haliburton!

Incredibly special place! Our cabin was super charming with a nice mix of contemporary and woodsy vibes. It was spacious, clean, well equipped with more than the basics. The view was gorgeous and we especially loved the dock which has gorgeous views during the day and evening. We never got a chance to hang out at the fire pit or eat at their restaurant because we were enjoying the fireplace in our cabin and dinners around our big dining table (we used the BBQ, each cabin has one). We regret not booking a longer weekend so we'll be coming back to try both of those out. The menu at the restaurant looks spectacular! It was also a quick trip to the nearest store to grab some things we forgot. We are 100% coming back.

Our dinner at the Haliburton Post House was one of the best dinners we have ever had. The service was phenomenal and the entire meal was not only beautiful, with the extra special plating, but the food was unique and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to our next visit. Thanks to everyone for a great evening.
