I ordered a German chocolate cake for my dad’s 73rd birthday and it was phenomenal, they couldn’t have made it more authentic! This two-tiered cake came coated in a pecan praline along with chocolate icing, the cake itself had an amazing texture. The lovely presentation speaks for itself, definitely will be a returning customer!

We drove by this place during the Sackville Craft Crawl and had to stop in. We recently moved here so haven't discovered many great bakeries yet! Let me tell you - walking into this place, if you grew up with a favourite bakery in your neighbourhood or at your grandparents house - the smells alone will kick you back to childhood. It smells amazing! It was hard to choose which products to try first - seafood pie, chicken pot pie, shepherds pie, mac and cheese, multiple different soups, breads, baked goods... they were packing fresh bread and fresh cinnamon buns so that seemed like a given. I'm also *obsessed* with ginger cookies so we bought a pack of those too. Bread is delicious!! I have a feeling it will be a Saturday tradition from now on. The cookies were good - a little too soft for my husband but perfect for me which means I get to eat them all! But the crowning glory for this place is their cinnamon buns. We bought them on Saturday and didn't even get into them until Sunday and they were still soft and light and perfectly delicious. We also froze four of them and didn't eat them until nearly FOUR WEEKS LATER and they were still delicious. Cold even! They're truly magical. Plus - cream cheese icing. Swoon! They are a bit big for me, but sharing is caring. Looking forward to trying more items from them!!

I was very excited to visit this bakery, and bought a good selection of items since I'm not out that way often. I am beyond disappointed.

Raisin bread: there was a pocket of raisins on the top of the loaf, which all fell out when it was cut. Very few raisins were mixed into the loaf, I basically just picked them up and put them on top of the slice to have white bread with raisins on it. The bread itself had a nice texture to it, but it was by no means raisin bread.

Chicken dinner pie: The pie was from the fridge, but had a fully-cooked lid, so I figured it just needed heating up in the oven. No instructions or ingredients were on the box at all (I asked what the filling was and was told 'chicken', ironically it had very little chicken in it). I baked it for 30 mins on 350 to heat it through, but the bottom was totally raw. I have no idea how they expected it to be cooked at home when the top was already dark brown. What's worse, the filling was completely overwhelmed with herbs. I don't know if it was sage or summer savory, but it was inedible. I struggled through 3 bites and threw the entire rest of the pie away, neither of us could stomach it, $20 worth of pie wasted. I am extremely upset at both the waste of money and food, but it was completely inedible.

Oatmeal raisin cookies: These were edible, but there was a very weird aftertaste, kind of like plastic or like they were sitting in a fridge/freezer with an odd funk to it. We ate about half of the package before giving up.

Chocolate macaroons: these were pretty good, if pricey; $8 for 6 small-ish macaroons. Had I known the price before I went to the register, I would not have bought them. There were no prices on the products or anywhere that I could see in the store.

Cheese tea biscuits: These were the only item that we were actually happy with. Lovely texture, a bit bland but nice heated with salted butter. Edited 2 days later: we had 2 tea biscuits left 2 days after buying, and they had green mold on them. I have no idea how long they were sitting on the shelf before I bought them. I expected longer than 2 days.

The friendliest bunch of ladies making the most delicious treats! Their bread and cinnamon rolls are delicious! My daughters love the chocolate chip cookies, my husband the ginger molasses cookies, and I am hooked on the lemon squares. Not only baked goods, but the soups and pasta I have tried are delicious as well, and make a quick dinner on busy nights.
