Très agréablement surpris, tout c'est très bien passé. Accueil chaleureux malgré nous soyons arrivés trop tôt. Le propriétaire nous a donné une carte et nous a indiqué des endroits à visiter en attendant que notre chambre soit prête.||L'endroit est charmant et très bien entretenu. Nous dormions dans un chalet en bois très joliment décoré et très propre. ||Les équipements sont corrects et la literie est bonne.||Au rez-de-chaussée il y a une pièce commune où l'on peut préparer ses repas, jouer au babyfoot ou se détendre. A l'extérieur, il y a de quoi faire des barbecues et se reposer autour d'un feu de bois (le soir). C'est une ambiance très sympathique.||Il y a aussi un lac avec une plage à deux minutes du motel.||Les propriétaires nous ont chouchouté durant le séjour et nous avons regretté de n'avoir réservé que deux nuits.||||Le parc ALGONQUIN est à 50 minutes en voiture,||||Je recommande ce lieu qui est notre coup de coeur.

The highlands Motel est notre endroit préféré à Minden. Cette année, nous sommes restés dans le loft. Très confortable et joli appartement pour une famille. C'est un endroit convivial et bien tenu. Dora et son mari sont très accueillants. C'est toujours un plaisirs de retourner dans ce motel.

Just home from a two night stay in The Loft, a one bedroom with separate living room and three piece bathroom. We loved having the separate living room with a wall mounted television and a dining table as well as a fireplace (for colder months). The room also has a small fridge and microwave. |We were very comfortable and enjoyed the room air conditioner on a very hot weekend. |We met the owners, Dora and Paul, who are very friendly and excellent hosts. You can tell they put a lot of attention and care into their accommodations. Everything is so well kept, clean and attractive. |The location is excellent, a short drive to some lovely restaurants and activities. We particularly enjoyed dinners at Rhubarb (about a 4 minute drive) and The Haliburton Post House (15 minutes away) however the Highlands Motel has a shared kitchen and living/social space in a separate building which enables guests to prepare their own meals should they desire. |We also walked to the small public beach which is a very short walk along a quiet dirt road behind the motel. A great beach to sit and watch the sunset. |Highly recommend the Highlands Motel. I am sure we will stay there again in the future.

In my 60 years of travels, rarely do I see a place that hits most of the marks of a well-run property. ||From the road, the Highlands Motel & Lodge looks cute, nestled in the woodlands, next to a little creek not far away from one of the area's little lakes. Looking up close, you notice that all of the little details are taken care of....the rooms are clean, comfortable, and properly maintained. The property is extremely well manicured and tidy. ||They're not going to win the award (yet) for most posh hotel in the country but they win my award for taking care of all the little things that most people might not notice; exceeding as a "high level" Motel in this part of Canada. ||It takes hard work and dedication to arrive at this level and I want to thank them for their dedication, hard work and friendliness.

Called late in the evening requesting a room on very short notice, we showed up within 1 hour & the room was ready, & spotless. Extremely great service, telling us about the local restaurants & offering snowmobile directions to ensure we get where we need to go! 10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely amazing place. We have been in Haliburton country before many times, but this is the first time stayed at this property. The owners Dora and Paul were absolutely great hosts and people. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. At the property they have a club house which we could use as our kitchen.

First time in Minden working in the area for a week and had the pleasure of staying at the Highlands motel. Super clean, friendly staff attention to detail. Wonderful stay! If I had to be really really picky the shower was difficult to find the sweet spot between too hot and too cold but that's a stretch 😀 great stay ill be back!
