All in all, not bad! Service was awesome, the gentleman at the front was extremely nice and helpful. The building is obviously older but someone has tried to put some love into it. The rooms are also older, and a little cramped but they’re decently clean. No bugs, and daily turn down service. So honestly? For the price, and being conveniently located? Worth it.

I stayed here last night with the bf. We were playing fighting, when I notice a little red bug out of the corner of my eye, crawling up the pillow. I immediately grabbed a kleenex and smooshed it, there was a blood spot was on the tissue. I believe the heater/ac unit in the room I stayed in, the unit seemed like it needed to be cleaned better. My bf turned on the heat and I immediately got stuffed up,t I had such a hard time breathing, I know this hotel went under renovations, but I feel this hotel needs to be torn down and built again.

Generally, monthly and weekly rates would come at a much more discounted rate than their nightly cost. I’m not sure how horsemen, of all the places in Airdrie, is $700 per week. Especially considering the suspicious dead body in the parking lot is still one of the main searches you get when you look up this motel lol.
For further context, I paid $800 per Month to stay with my own private balcony in radium hot springs during tourist season xD lol I think perhaps wishful thinking is reasonable in this economy.. but this place is barely safe, not even remotely clean, and nowhere near worth 700/week. You can pay $100 more and stay in beautiful radium hot springs for a full month, pets allowed and fee included in that price. lmao. Like I just cannot grasp what is going on in the owners head to look at this dump of an establishment and think he can reasonably charge $100/night lmao. It’s a run down motel, barely worth $50/night, and that’s being generous.

My concerns with this establishment are as follows:

1. They heavily market a $59.99 price. Upon arrival, it was double. Bait and switch and serial lying.

2. Upon arrival they require a $100 deposit; in cash. What is this a drug laundering front? I mean, it makes sense, but dang. Then they stapled the bill to a receipt and barely got it out without damaging it. Perhaps a fresh, crisp, $100 bill was in order?

3. Upon checkin they provided me with a tv remote to open the door? Huh?

4. The cigarette smell and bug combo isn’t my idea of a happy hour

5. The room next to us had someone snoring so bad it kept me awake at night. I almost lost my curling game the next morning as a direct consequence.

6. The weird egg / coffee shop next door appeared, at best, rancid. Hard pass.

7. I was thirsty for water, but upon inspection of the water quality from the tap I just opted out. I’d rather drink my own piss.

8. For a seedy establishment there were no hookers? Like cmon.

9. Full sized fridge? Good place to hide a dead body. We were happy that no decapitated heads or eyeball jars were in there

10. As Johnny hurricane articulated, the plug in to appliance ratio was poor. Would be nice to refrigerate items, warm them up, and watch tv simultaneously at our next stay.

On the plus side, it was stumbling distance from
old Town pizza, where we went 5 times in 24 hours.

Solid weekend, A+

If I'm being honest I'd normally give this place two or maybe even one star, but I'm in a good mood and things are going decently. First off, I called twice to confirm I could get a Room, both times I was hung up on, but it was late and the only place I could rent as I lost my credit card on my way down here. Upon arrival I got a room for a decent price, the beds are not comfortable, the room is very warm and my ac isn't working, and the fridge is really loud. But I rolled up at 2 AM and they didn't even bat an eye or ask for ID. If you're looking for a cheap place to bring a date or crash after a long day of driving and losing your credit card, this place will do. Nothing fancy, nothing terrible, it just is what it is and that's that.

TERRIBLE! STAY AWAY! BED BUGS! Getting 1 star because i had to give 1. Stayed there only because it was cheap, it was late, and we were tired. The rooms smelled of stale cigarettes. I am a smoker and the smell was over powering. We tried to power through the smell. Then we found the BED BUG!! When we demanded a refund the young girl at the front desk couldnt do it and we had to come back in the morning for it. To top it all off we picked up a nail in our tire from their parking lot and nothing could be done. And no compassion or apologies for the terrible experience.
