It’s hard to put into words how incredible The Inn on Stephens Bay is. My fiancée and I stayed here for three nights, during which got engaged at nearby San Josef Bay.

The views from our room were stunning. Simply serene. The area couldn’t be more beautiful. The breakfasts were out of this world. The owners are so, so kind.

Our closest friends reached out to Meshell, who owns the inn with her husband, and she went above and beyond by putting a celebratory bottle of bubbly and a card from them in our room the evening we returned from getting engaged. They really care about their guests.

We look forward to returning to Coal Harbour in the future. Couldn’t recommend this gem any more!

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The view out from the rooms is beautiful, breakfast is outstanding (the pictures speak for themselves) and the hosts are super nice, gave us great recommendations for activities in the area! Can’t recommend this place enough!

WOW what a view from this BnB Eagles Eerie was a luxurious suite with a view from the bath of the lake, we had our own balcony to enjoy the lake and Mountain View’s. The breakfasts were amazing and set you up for the day. The hospitality was great and we visited San Josef Bay with the aid of their Jeep that we rented from them to take us on the very bumpy FSR. They had kayaks and outdoor BBQ area for use as well. We would recommend this place for couples looking for relaxation and good food.

Spent four nights recently and it was fantastic!||Views are tremendous and hosts welcoming and friendly. We stayed in Eagles Aerie and it was a lovely comfortable room. Lovely big closet to keep all you cases, etc. in. There is a small fridge in the room and plates/cutlery, if you want to sit and eat out on the balcony.||We saw lots of eagles, an otter, seals from our balcony.||The highlight of the stay are the breakfasts...Wow! The owner Stephen is a retired chef de cuisine extraordinaire and the breakfasts he creates are a work of art and taste sublime! Whilst there I had the best breakfast I have ever had, and we have stayed in some wonderful places. Stephen makes use of all the ingredients locally, berries from the garden, seafood from the bay and puts it together with a bit of magic. One morning we were out early as we had a trip booked and Michelle, Stephens wife ensured we had a delicious breakfast to eat before we left. ||The hosts are friendly, but not intrusive and the place is spotless.||If you like peace and quiet, nature and a breakfast to die for this is the place to come!

Absolutely amazing time, we loved staying here. All the reviews are very accurate. Our hosts were exceptional. We have travelled a fair bit. This was by far one of the best bed-and-breakfast that we have stayed at the food was incredible. We used to stay at a local hotel in town, we will not go back to a hotel. We will stay at the inn from now on. We booked the lower suite with the full kitchen separate bedroom and living area walk out patio gas barbecue and quick access to the beautiful beach. My husband went swimming each day it was a little too cool for me yet. I have recommended this b&b to many of my friends already and we have only been gone one day.

We stayed here for 3 nights in July and had the most amazing time. |Michelle and Stephen were wonderful hosts, the breakfast was outstanding! The house is spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed right on the beach with a lovely garden. |We had the smaller room but the view was beautiful and we spent a lot of time sitting directly outside on our decked balcony. |We saw black bears, otters and eagles and loved the peace and quiet that surrounded us. |We would highly recommend a stay here if you are planning a visit to North Vancouver Island!

We stayed 3 nights starting June 12. The hospitality shown by our Hosts Meshell and Stephen was fabulous. What a gem this place is. The view from our balcony was an ever changing kaleidoscope of beauty. All of the breakfasts were outstanding! We have already booked for next year! I can't say enough it feels like we were on a lot longer vacation!
