We’ve been going to the Dock and Duck for many years and now it has changed over to The Landing. What a refreshing change! The renovation has made this a bright, airy restaurant. The staff were all super friendly and efficient. And the food was great! It exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend the shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and came with a delicious sauce.
And the signature cocktails were outstanding. Had to laugh that you have to ask for a single as they are automatically doubles, at a single price! We will definitely be back!

Ate here last night on a soft opening event after the new owners took over renovating the room and menu. What a breath of fresh air I gotta say! The Ribs in a pomegranate sauce were next level. Solid beer and cocktail list on a stunning patio with epic views of the West Arm. Good luck to the new owners, cant wait to come back!

Just finished dinner.
Service was chaotic, but was willing to overlook, because it was near the end of the day. However we won’t be back as they served my son a half raw hamburger and when we advised the waitress of the issue we were told “some people like them that way”.
But did we order it that way?
No.
Was any effort made to rectify the situation?
No.

Believe me, take the extra time and go to Nelson or Kaslo. Risking food poisoning is not how I would advise spending your time.

A nice place to eat if you're fresh off the ferry or waiting for one. The service was really five star, the food was good but boring special. A big menu with lots to choose from. The interior is a bit dated but the patio was so cool to sit and watch the ducks and the ferrys.

I have been coming here for over 15 years. Their fish and chips were always outstanding, unfortunately their batter recipe for the fish was heavy, sweet and too much batter and hardly any fish.
The waiter brought vinegar but looked in bewilderment when asked for malt vinegar.
Smaller portions than in the past.
The location is stunning and will visit but not for a meal.

So, my wife, son, and I stopped in after a not so good round of golf for a bite the other night.
Sorry if this gets long.
First, service
It was great. Our server (sorry, I can't hear well and didn't get his name) he used to be a pipeline worker who gave it up to be back here near family. He was amazing. My wife was skeptical when he did not write a thing down. But this dude is on point, and so was the order.
Food.
My wife had a chicken wrap and then asked for onionrings too, my son had a chicken burger, and I had the Carnivor pizza with onion and olives. Wrap was excelent, says the wife. The chicken burger was spot on. And added onion rings that the server didn't forget were frigging awesome.
The pizza I got was absolutely one of the best ever. Don't let the whole wheat crust fool you. It is light fluffy and crisp as it should be. These folks have it dialed in,don't be scared to stop in if waiting for a ferry. I'm pretty sure they can make it happen. When we were leaving a 21 top showed up, and the server said with a smile that it was not a problem, we will make it happen.
