Came here on a Saturday afternoon (~2 pm) with 2 other people. They were pretty busy considering the time of day but we only waited about 5-10 minutes for a table.

The food was fantastic!!! The nachos were my favorite; we added brisket and I truly think these were the best nachos I’ve ever had! We also got the local burger, the mushroom Swiss burger (a special), and hummus. Everything was delicious and flavorful!

The service was also wonderful! Staff were all so nice and friendly. Our server, Crüz, took great care of us, providing recommendations and sharing with us the history of the restaurant. It had a pretty welcoming atmosphere. The place was also clean and well-maintained.

Overall, we had a great time and we will likely visit again next time we’re in town!

This is our second time visit this place and we still love it. 😍

The food is absolutely delicious with reasonable price. They have different menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast , I would recommend the Canadian breakfast and for dinner menu we tried the local burger (beef) and chicken burger 🍔 both are masterpiece. 💯

The service is great with friendly and knowledgeable staffs. I can’t remember the last time I have the service this good in Canmore. So probably this is the best service you can find in Canmore (in my opinion) ❤️.

Overall this place is a 10/10. Would recommend this place for dating couples and group of friends. 😍❤️💯

My birthday breakfast at this place was amazing! A little busy, but that's how you know they're good! The food was incredible, the staff so friendly and the atmosphere was so delightful. Plants everywhere! I loved it so much!! Thank y'all so much, you made my day ❤️

This was my first time here and it was awesome! Got a table right away (group of 8). I ordered the Brisket Sliders and they were so delicious! Bigger than I was expecting. Service was wonderful and my family and I had a great time!

OMG. This was the best food we had during our time in Banff/Canmore. We had 2 adults + a toddler for lunch at 12:45 pm on Tuesday, 9/24/24. They have high chairs! There was no wait. We sat on the deck outside and it was the perfect weather for it! Just gorgeous! The inside was beautifully decorated and the bathrooms were very nice, complete with tampons and pads. So generous!!

We split an appetizers and 2 entrees. Here’s what we got:
- Hummus & Bread (CA$18): Wowowow. So good. The bread was amaaaazing. The hummus was delicious.
- Steak Sandwich (CA$30): OMG. This was just so good. So tasty. It really blew me away how good this was. Very generous portion of steak. Fries were great!
- Local Ruffage Salad, add chicken (CA$21 + $7): Also amazing!! The dressing was delightful. The chicken was actually very good too.

Our Go-To Spot in Canmore!

Every time we’re in Canmore, The Local is a must-stop for us! Their breakfast and lunch are absolutely amazing, with fresh ingredients, generous portions, and delicious flavors. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it even better. Out of all the restaurants in Canmore, this one is our favorite!

We had an lovely time eating here. The food was so good and the drinks were amazing. We were able to sit outside on a really lovely day. Being able to eat in front of the mountains and busy road was so lovely and added so much to the ambiance.
