The amount of restaurant's in Whitby has expanded making it overwhelming, “Where should I go and eat?” I been looking for a new place that I can regularly eat at and I can happily say, “This is it!”? Great menu selection of food and drinks to choose from. A professional staff who are always accommodating. I recommend you check this place out when you can! The vibe is great! ?

Stopped by on a whim after being at the spa all day. Really impressed! Nice feel. Great service, very accommodating of questions, requests and allergies. We've not seen prices like this in a long time, so reasonably priced for what you get! Come hungry as you'll have lots to eat, and probably lots to take home too! We'll definitely be back! Photo is what was left after 2 people ate their fill!

Edited to add, washrooms are clean and very nice. Cause we all judge restaurants on washrooms...
When going to/from the washroom, you can see into tge kitchen. My sneak peak saw nice clean back of house!?

First time in Whitby, we went here for dinner after spending the day at Thermea for our 29th wedding anniversary (gift from kids). We came with appetites as the prices at the spa seemed excessive to what was offered, so we waited it out for dinner. The Oak & Ale didn't disappoint. With help from our server Madison (who was very pleasant and helpful), she directed us to order the steak and mushroom pot pie (soooo gooood) as well as the burger (patty was bigger than the bun) to two hungry people. They were tasty, satisfying and reasonable. For dessert we shared the apple pie, which was warm and delicious. Add a refreshing beer and the night was capped off nicely without breaking the bank. I just wish they'd have a closer place to Toronto.

I visited the Oak and Ale for my boyfriend's birthday in the summer. The food was good, especially the Durham dip! Our server, Meaghan, was fantastic. She made sure that my peanut allergy was addressed and took great care of us. This was my first visit and I would definitely come back again. A big thanks to Meaghan for making this a great experience!

This is my favourite pub because there are some really good vegan options here like lentil curry, harvest bowl & veggie burger Many other dishes are easy to veganize too. Our very deserving waitress works incredibly hard on card nights.

Just discovered this place on Saturday and brought my wife in today to experience it. Love the place. Excellent menu and the portion sizes. Serving staff was attentive and friendly. Can’t wait for patio season so we can enjoy our meals outside. I had the steak and mushroom pub pie. It was amazing. Puff pastry was fresh. The accompanying salad was fresh and plentiful.

I had the worst food here, pasta and buffalo wrap with fries, so bland, no taste. The server was not at all interested in serving. She had a hand under her tshirt, gross. When we said the food isn’t good, she just walked away. Never returning. Left 90% of the food uneaten.
