Great place, friendly staff and nice atmosphere! The food was delicious! I had a tuna poke bowl and it was extremely good! My boyfriend has the brisket and that was super good as well, in the past I tried the mussels and those were really good too! Well cooked and flavourful. I will definitely be returning soon!

Love this place. Beautiful old pub style building, service was good and the food was excellent. Lots of options on the menu and I’ve tried a few. Chicken Brie burger, beet salad, lettuce wraps and all were delicious. Will definitely be a regular haunt for me.

Went there the other day. Sat outside on the patio which was nice. They allowed our leashed dog to sit on the patio next to us. Food (2 different salads) was decent. Waitress was friendly enough but service was exceptionally SLOW. The two waitresses working the patio walked and moved about as slowly as possible -no sense of urgency at all. Took a really really long time to acknowledge us or even bring a menu!!! We were ready to walk out after sitting there a really long time. That was inexcusable. Waitresses need a bit more training and a little bit of urgency put in them. Not everyone has hours to grab a bite for lunch

I hate leaving a bad review but I hope it inspires change. We sat with a large group that had made reservations for a bunch of tables well in advance. Each table was given one menu to share between 6+ people, cutlery was not wrapped but instead given to us in a box with some napkins. We stayed for 3 hours, it took 45 minutes to get our one and only drink, another 45 minutes to order our food, and we sat with empty plates and dishes infront of us for over half an hour. The food was decent and the oak has one of the best outdoor patios I've been to in a long time, the servers where nice and polite however something caused the actual service to be unbearably slow, if it wasn't for the special occasion bringing us there I would have left some cash on the table to cover our drinks and dined elsewhere.

I've been here twice in a 3 week period. The first time, I had the braised beef which was incredible, perfectly cooked and I loved it.
The second time, I had the blackened cod, it was a wow. The seasoning was perfect along with the fish. I cleaned the plate.
I'm really looking forward to going again,soon.

we go to the oak for lunch for the sliders. My fiance asks if they have 0.0 coronas they don’t so she ordered the Phillips pale ale that says zero alcohol, we get it and it says 0.5. I’m like sorry we can’t drink this she’s like umm okay, I said sorry we are sober so we can’t drink it. She looks at the menu sees it says zero and then takes it and goes okay walks off in a tiff lol like alright…we can’t have it 0 booze means 0 booze
So we Order a different drink with just juice and pineapple juice and it comes with a fruit fly in it, so we asked if we could just get water, the server brought warm tap water with no ice.
We were very polite, the food was alright definitely not worth 50$ but it is what it is. Won’t be returning.

Traditional pub, nothing fancy, great food and staff that makes you feel welcome. Lots of room if you were looking for a bigger group setting. It's a regular visit when we're heading through Duncan.

The pizza was amazing. The service was awesome and fast. The atmosphere is ok. Wide open space. No “cozy” place to snug in, but still comfortable.
Highly recommend for a social gathering or a bite to eat.
