Three restaurants in Alert Bay, skip this one. Ordered steak got a mess of fat and gristle. Overpriced for disappointment. The other two restaurants are better, one is basic food and the other will surprise you in quality.

I am writing about the Orca Inn Restaurant which is a first class, innovative, fresh and delicious restaurant in gorgeous Alert Bay. It is in the same building as the hotel. Don't be deceived by the unpretentious exterior; the chef is French and his cooking is as good as any delicious dish I've had in France or Italy. I love the caesar salad with prawns which comes with a big strip of mouth watering bacon and is garnished with tarragon, a perfect compliment. I've also sampled their Thai wraps, sticky toffee pudding and even duck confit. I would set up a bunk bed in the wall if I could. Don't miss this amazing dining experience. The owners are also a delight as is the chef. Ten stars.

This was a great stay in a quirky property on the wonderful Cormorant Island. Larry and Kathy go out of their way to make you welcome, and the rooms have everything you need as a base. You can walk to the marvellous U'Mista Museum, and just walking along the road on which the property stands you will definitely see a lot of eagles and likely an Orca or two. The locals are really friendly, and don't miss the restaurant in the Inn, either. Highly recommended

This review is for the restaurant downstairs. We haven't eaten at the pub. The restaurant is fantastic! It's as good or better than the best restaurants I've eaten at anywhere in the world. The menu is creative and full of locally sourced ingredients and everything we had was perfectly cooked and beyond delicious. The service was also excellent. Don't miss it if you're in Alert Bay

We had a lovely evening at the Orca Inn Pub. We were welcomed so friendly and got a candle light on the table. Service was great and very attentative. Price is a bit high but the portion size is huge, totally fair for the amount you get and it was so tasty. Thank you!

We didn’t stay here but the restaurant was amazing. Local seafood. Great service as well. ||The upstairs pub had live music some evenings , pool and amazing cocktails. Larry and Cathy are the best hosts. We had a fun time. |
