We recently visited The Rec Room and had a fun time, especially enjoying the bowling. Some of the other games were just okay, and unfortunately, a few game machines weren’t working properly. There were also issues with game credits not being given correctly, and staff assistance was lacking in resolving this. On the plus side, having an SPC card gets you extra tickets, which is a nice perk. Overall, it’s a good spot for a fun outing with friends and family, but a little more maintenance and customer support would improve the experience.

Good gaming fun! We recently came here January 1st to enjoy a family day playing arcade games, I’m glad we came early because by the afternoon it was crowded and getting really busy even on a holiday day. I was quite disappointed in the initial staff that were there to sell us the wristbands and credits. There was only one staff member and it took over 45minutes to just get our wristband even though they had already been open for over a half hour and there were hardly any people in the place. A huge line was inside the Trophy Room all trying to get wristbands. And because the sound of the arcade games is so loud their staff member I think was having a hard time hearing people and being heard themselves. Maybe a curtain or a door there would be helpful to eliminate the sound and make that area more practical? Or make it so you can purchase a wristband at the front desk area because there were 2 staff just hanging out there. Aside from that the games were fun and our kids were able to find quite a few even at their young ages to enjoy. Of course a majority of these games I feel like are geared to older children and adults. I like the variety of games- from old school basketball hoops and the DDR (that isn’t DDR but a different variation), to the roller coaster simulator styles and VR too. There were probably a good 5-10 games that were down and not working. The bowling upstairs was looking really fun as well.
Plenty of food options around- we sat in at the restaurant and this was the best part for me. The food was so so good! We ordered the Tempura Jalapeños ($13.50) - freaking amazing! Huge jalapeños and perfectly crispy. Truffle fries - lots of Parmesan and very crispy. But the kids menu was the best! $10 for a drink, main course and dessert! And the kids main menu portions are huge- very filling for a great price.

It was super busy, and it was hard to get help from the staff. Quite a few games equipment didn't work. As a sensory sensitive person became overwhelming. The food was amazing though and ther server was very pleasant. Food and drinks took a little long. Bit worth the extra wait. Over all wil be going again. Good experience.

Tonight, I found myself at The Rec Room, and while the games were calling my name, it was the food that truly stole the show. I wasn’t expecting much—I mean, it’s a place known for fun, not fine dining—but wow, was I wrong. The menu had a bit of everything, from burgers and flatbreads to wings and poutine. I decided to go with their signature burger, and let me tell you, it was incredible. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and piled high with toppings that were messy in the best way possible.

And don’t even get me started on the poutine. The fries were crispy, the gravy was rich, and the cheese curds had just the right amount of squeak. It was comfort food done right, and honestly, it felt like the perfect pairing for the energy of the place. Sitting there with a drink in hand, surrounded by laughter and arcade sounds, it reminded me that sometimes food doesn’t have to be fancy—it just has to hit the spot. And tonight, The Rec Room absolutely delivered.

What a fun place! We spent hours there. It brought out the kids in us, not just a playground for children!

We enjoyed some alcoholic beverages as well as a delicious meal in between throwing axes, 10 pin bowling, and trying to beat the high score on the driving simulator.

It was a little pricey, we dropped $100 to start, but between the 3 of us, we enjoyed over 4 hours of fun for that amount. Dinner and drinks were not anymore expensive than any other sit down meal establishment. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty and well put together the meals were. The food was better than I expected for a gaming establishment. The bartenders were very attentive and friendly as well as the rest of the staff.

I will be going again and will recommend it to my family and friends when they are in Edmonton! Thanks for a fun afternoon! 🙌🏼

This place is a sort of one-stop for a weekend night. It features a large dining area where you can grab some bar food and drinks. The entertainment areas feature arcade games (interactive ones like shooting games), ticket games for prizes, axe throwing, bowling, darts and more. It can get crowded on weekends and you may end up waiting for certain games.

Pretty tasty food, wasn’t expecting much for an arcade centre but we were all pleasantly surprised. The pear and prosciutto pizza was salty and sweet and really a huge hit with everyone. The chips were full of exotic spices and somehow managed to be refreshing at the same time. Would have liked a little more caramelization on the shrimp but overall happy.

Service was slow.

We came here for lunch and the food was surprisingly good. We started with the tomato basil burrata which was fantastic. The sauce is really good and the size is good for the price. The only fault is they should have more bread pieces since we ran out.

For the main we shared the butchers daughter pizza which again was very good. There was a good amount of toppings and with an appetizer it was plenty big for 2 people. Service was actually good and pretty quick but it was very quiet at lunch time compared to dinner time.

They have a free coat check by the entrance which made playing the games much more enjoyable. We especially like the connect 4 basketball game but there was often a line up so it would be nice if they had a couple more of it.
