We ordered simple items but the food took a long while and it was cold. We had fish tacos, nachos and potato skins. The skins were FULL of sweet onions so the savory flavour I expected was missing. Also we were not expecting shrimp in the fish tacos. I am very allergic to shrimp. The waiter was new but did reasonable job all things considered. The prices were ok. It was comfortable seating. Lots of

Went in for lunch today and decided to try the tacos as they were on special. We ordered one fish, chicken, and beef. The chicken and fish were fine enough, however the beef taco was not appetizing at all. The beef had zero seasoning and tasted off, almost as if it was old. We did not continue to eat after the first bite and just left the rest. When the waitress asked how they were, we were polite and honest. She apologized and said she would notify the kitchen. Upon the bill arrival, we were surprised to see we were still charged for the beef taco we clearly didn’t eat. In our opinion, when a customer doesn’t eat a meal and lets the staff know it was unappetizing and tastes off/old, you would think it would be customary to take the item off the bill. However this did not happen today. On a positive note, the crispy mashed potatoes were delicious.

Really thought this place would be a hit!

Took about 5 minutes to be greeted and then when we asked for a a table of 5 we’re told only one table is available for that many people. Patio could not accommodate a table of 5, which is pretty unfortunate. Our table was all the way hidden in a corner which threw off the atmosphere.

I think our waitress was new so I don’t want to blame her but definitely a lack of training on the restaurants behalf. Took a really long time to order and get our drinks and had to keep calling her over for refills. The cocktails are meh, better off sticking to a highball or a beer. Had to ask for cutlery and napkins.

Two of us ordered the Nashville sandwich and it was horrible, neither of us finished.

This restaurant has so much potential abut there is a lot missing. Likely will not be going back.

We’ve been coming to The Ridge for a few years now. A place we have always enjoyed. Especially the patio as we can bring our pup with us. It has been disappointing to see the decline in service and food. We went for dinner last night - meal was horrible. Calamari was over way cooked - came with no lemon or sauce, garlic rosemary fries which are my fav - way too much garlic, tacos were soggy. The prices of food were ridiculous for what we got. The waiter didn’t even ask us about our meal. I hope some changes will be made as this has been a great spot to go. We will not be returning.

Best shrimp taco ever tasted !
If you are in St albert and want to try shrimp tacos this is the place for you. From the salsa to the shrimps it was a complete package. Wish we ate a few more, now that I’m writing this review I’m craving for more!🤣
We also tried the fish and chips that was on offer along with LAMB SLIDERS- omg! The sliders were juicy and fresh!! 10/10 place!

Yuck. Don't go here for food. Been a few times now because I want it to be good but it just isn't.

Most of the recent reviews are pretty bad. While we were dining we overheard 3 different parties all complaining about the food. I should have known better.

Overpriced and honestly the worst food I've had in a long time.

Won't be a returning customer unless I'm feeling a patio beer. Service is mid but the vibes are cool I guess.. 🙁

A first-time visit on a very quiet afternoon was a complete DISASTER! My embarrassment at having selected this place, is now legendary.
Our group waited forty minutes for a simple order of nachos (cold as ice with congealed cheese!), potato skins (sadly spiced with SWEET onions. ..just awful!) and an order of fish tacos that surprisingly included shrimp, not just fish - so beware. When our food was delivered the second time, the dishes came at different times, so we never really ate together. What a GONG show! There's didn't appear to be a senior person who cared enough about our record-setting horrific experience to make themselves know and "own" the complete mismanagement of our first and last visit! Sadly, the brand new waiter, on day two, was left holding the bag. Where was management, you ask?

Basic Pub Fare, Nothing Memorable

Visited The Ridge Social Eatery and had the smoked meat sandwich. It was fine — standard pub fare without much to set it apart. The fries were clearly the Costco variety, which was a bit disappointing for a dine-in spot. It's definitely a place for no-frills comfort food rather than a memorable dining experience.

One detail that stood out — and not in a great way — was being seated at the bar and noticing a note in plain view instructing staff to only fill the dipping sauces halfway. What's worse than running out of sauce while in the middle of your meal... I did run out of sauce.

Overall, if you're looking for a casual bite and know what to expect, it's an okay choice. But if you're after something a little more thoughtful or unique, you might want to keep looking.
