I have been going to the River Room since it opened, every experience has been exceptional. I am now in the program for the hydradermie lift and I am more than pleased with the results. Everything was explained before the process even began as to how the facial would progress . I am one happy lady with the product and service. By the way love the product.
Lauren has been very professional and accommodating with appointments as well as asking about comfort level at all times.

No complaints here. I totally recommend her services.

I have had 3/4 treatments (hydradermie lift facial) and I am really enjoying the results. My main concern was my aging neck and baby jowls. I noticed a difference after one treatment. I have one left and I’m excited to see the before and after. Not only is she reasonably priced, she is professional and her space is very clean. I would recommend her to all my friends! So nice to support at home businesses in town.

Unprofessional and Lacks Transparency.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with The River Room and its owner, Lauren. My initial facial was incredibly painful due to electromagnetic stimulation that reacted with my dental work. Given the pain and increasing work demands, I asked about potentially rescheduling (the day before) my next appointment - on Jan 21. She responded with “Hey Bre, not a big deal”. At no point did she mention a cancellation fee (screenshots attached).

The next day, Jan 22, I confirmed I needed to reschedule as I had to work. Again, no mention of a cancellation fee. Two days later, Jan 23, due to changes in my work schedule, the pain I experienced, and her insistence results would not be effective without weekly consistency, I decided to cancel all future scheduled services. It was at this point—only AFTER I had decided to cancel—she suddenly introduced a $31.25 cancellation fee. This fee was never communicated in my booking confirmation, in prior messages, or during our initial discussions.

When I mentioned she had not disclosed this policy beforehand, she refused to acknowledge any responsibility on her part. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she was abrupt, dismissive, and stated the fee was “non [negotiable]”.

I have no issue with a cancellation policy if properly disclosed, but blindsiding a client with unexpected charges is unacceptable. It is the responsibility of the business to clearly communicate expectations to clients, not impose hidden fees after the fact.

If you’re looking for a qualified client-focused esthetician who communicates expectations clearly and appropriately— I do not recommend this business.

After my "old" esthetician unfortunately passed away, I have been on the hunt for a new one for quite a few years. Yes, years. Most people I saw were ok-ish but I'm picky and wanted someone that is just as good as she was. And I finally found someone! Lauren at the River Room! I can't say enough good words, so I'll just sum it up: she's amazing! Friendly, clean, caring, did exactly what I asked for and the eyebrow and eyelash tint lasted so much longer than in other places. I will be back for sure and I can only recommend her to everyone else. Thumbs up from me!

I cannot say enough positive things about Lauren! To start I would like to caveat that I live in a different city (45 minutes away) and she is still my go to for all my services! This woman is incredibly talented, and has years of experience to back up her natural ability to make you feel so comfortable and relaxed. Second, this cozy home spa has everything you could ever need, including a massage pedicure chair! Trying to pick which service is my favourite is really hard because like I said she does it all amazingly.. but if you are like me and looking for a pedicure or massage that doesn’t shy away from that perfect pressure we all crave; then congratulations you have found the right place for you too!
