The Rock’s Signal Bed and Breakfast was one of the nicest places we stayed at, not just during our visit to Newfoundland but in all our travels. Our Deluxe King Suite was indeed deluxe, the furnishings and décor were tastefully done and it was hard to pull ourselves out of the ultra comfortable bed. The breakfast waiting each morning did make it a bit easier to get up and we looked forward to the homemade baked treats waiting for us in the afternoon (the chocolate dipped strawberries were delish!). There is also a gazebo out back to enjoy your morning coffee or just to relax and have some quiet time amongst the trees. The property is well situated within walking distance to just about everything including downtown St. John’s and numerous attractions, but the best part of our stay was our host, Lisa. She always made time to chat with us, discussing day trips to take, must see attractions, restaurants to try and just life in general. Her warm demeanor and friendly, outgoing personality (and knack for remembering our breakfast preferences) made our stay memorable. We were only able to spend 4 nights there but we wish we could have stayed longer...perhaps next time.

This is one of the top Bed and Breakfasts we've stayed at. The room was attractive, exceptionally well appointed and very comfortable. Lisa was a superb host and gave us the most amazing breakfasts and teas! So amazing that we skipped lunches. She was able to suggest restaurants and places to visit around St. John's, and the location of the B&B was within walking distance of everything in the city. We highly recommend The Rock's Signal and would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay. I can’t say enough kind things about our hosts, Lisa and Ron. The room had everything we needed for our five night stay, including a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious! Our host was very knowledgeable about the area and offered many recommendations. We were part of a group of six and enjoyed using the outdoor patio as well as the living area. The B&B was in a great location in the Nelly bean row area and gave us easy access to the downtown area. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

Wonderful stay at the Rock's Signal. We spent five nights in the "Lighthouse suite". The room is beautiful, quiet, peaceful and very well appointed. Lisa is a great hostess. She cooked delicious breakfasts every morning, was very pleasant. She gave us suggestions for visits in and around St John's, as well as suggestions for restaurants. She made our vacation a real success. Highly recommend.....

We were in Newfoundland to celebrate our 35th anniversary and the Rock’s Signal Bed and Breakfast was by far the nicest place that we stayed at during our 2 week visit. Our King Suite was immaculate, the bed was ultra comfortable (another couple also commented on the bed) and the bathroom spotless with all the niceties that you could ask for, it felt more like a 5 star hotel than a B&B. It had a gazebo out back with comfy seating to enjoy your morning coffee or to relax and read a book. A hearty breakfast was waiting for us every morning, as well as the homemade baked treats in the afternoon. The property is well situated within walking distance to downtown, a grocery store and numerous attractions, but the best part of our stay was our host, Lisa. She’s made sure we had everything we needed, had suggestions for restaurants, day trips, hikes or sights and even remembered our individual preferences for breakfast. She’s a wonderful person with a warm and friendly demeanor and made our stay extra special, we were fortunate to have been able to spend 4 nights there...we wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed 4 nights in this outstanding B&B. The rooms are perfectly arranged and prepared for our arrival. Everything is lovingly furnished. Lisa is a wonderful host. The breakfast and afternoon tea which Lisa always freshly makes, exceeds all our expectations. We slept as well as one seldom does in a hotel. Thank you for being such an exceptional host. We will come back again.

Lisa & her home epitomize the concept of a great bed & breakfast. The room was so comfortable & clean. She thought of everything…from lemon infused water in the room, to eye glass cleaning packets in the bathroom. Never seen that before. The home has been lovingly redone while maintaining the feel of the original style with some beautiful stained glass windows, original wood on the stairs & a fireplace in our room, that has now been converted to electric. The breakfasts were wonderful & the afternoon tea with homemade baking & chocolate covered strawberries was a special treat! There is a well appointed pergola in the back yard as well as a cute bistro area in front. Lisa was very welcoming & had many helpful suggestions for sights to see & places to eat. We would highly recommend the Rock’s Signal Bed & Breakfast. Thanks again Lisa!

The Rock's Signal is a wonderful B&B. From the moment we entered Lisa's home it was simply lovely. Our suite was beautifully appointed. We were greeted every morning with a great breakfast, amazing coffee and evening snack. Lisa is a gracious host. We will be back to visit.
